Being a trip leader at is more of a lifestyle than a job.We can be on the road for many days with just two or three days off between each trip.We are always restless to discover something new and have a constant case of itchy feet.When everything you own fits in one backpack you become a minimalist by necessity and start appreciating life much more than others.
Some of our best friends are people we have met as Trip Leaders.The connection we have with our vendors, hospitality workers in remote places and the people we have trained with, runs deep.We are usually the last ones to sleep and first to rise.
We play the role of counsellor, accountant, guide and best friend to a group of thirty to fifty people at a time.
