Amritsar : अमृत सरोवर

Amritsar was founded by Sri Guru Ramdass ji and has historical importance in terms of Spritual, trade and cultural hertiage.

During partition time lost it's twin city and many families lost their life as well as belongings.

Amritsar witnessed all this and many more transitions in it's history.

It's a must visit place If you are interested to know more about Sikhism, Partition of India and experience that divine energy even in the husstle bustle of city life.

क्या आपके साथ कभी ऐसा हुआ है कि आपको आश्चर्य हुआ हो कि आप जो दृश्य देख रहे हैं वह भ्रम है या वास्तविकता, क्योंकि आपने पहले कभी ऐसी सुंदर दृश्य की कल्पना भी नहीं की थी?

चंबा से 12 घंटे की थकाऊ यात्रा के बाद, एक जानी पहचानी जगह देखके मुझे एहसास हुआ कि मैंने मंडी (छोटी काशी) की सीमाओं के अंदर हूं। जैसे ही मैंने खिड़की के दूसरी तरफ देखा, मुझे कुछ ऐसा दिखाई दिया जिस पर मुझे विश्वास नहीं हो रहा था। घने बादलों की एक चादर वहीं बिछी थी, बस 50 मीटर दूर, एक पूरी घाटी को ढँक कर जैसे वो उस पर मेरे सोने का इंतजार कर रही थी।

बस रुकी और मैं वहीं उतर गई। प्रकृति ने मुझे जो मनमोहक नज़ारा दिया था, उसे देखकर मेरी सारी थकान और अकड़न दूर हो गई। मैंने हाथ जोड़े और आंखें बंद करके बस इतना ही कह सकती थी..."धन्यावाद!"

मन्दिर के बारे में कुछ बातें: वीडियो के केंद्र में जो मन्दिर है उसे पंचवक्त्र (पंचवक्त्र) मंदिर कहा जाता है, जो एक संस्कृत शब्द है, जिसका अर्थ है पांच मुख (पंच+वक्त्र), यह प्राचीन मन्दिर भगवान शिव को समर्पित है।

यह ब्यास और सुकेती नदियों के संगम पर स्थित है। यह सबसे पुराने मंदिरों में से एक है और मंडी में सबसे अधिक देखे जाने वाले पर्यटन स्थलों में से एक है। यह कितना प्राचीन है इसका पता कोई अभी तक नही लगा पाया है।

Has it ever happened with you that you wonder if the scenery that you are watching is an illusion or a reality, because you never even imagined such beautiful sight before?

Post a 12 hours tiresome travel from Chamba, from a landmark I realised that I have touched Mandi (Chhoti Kashi) borders. As soon as I looked the other side of the window, I saw something that I couldn't believe. A sheet of thick clouds were right there, just 50 meters away, covering an entire valley, waiting for me to step in and take a nice sleep on them.

The bus halted and I stepped out. All the tiredness and stiffness of my back just washed away by seeing the mesmerizing view that nature had presented me with. With joined hands and closed eyes all I could say was..."Dhanyawad"

A few things about the temple: The temple in the center of the video is called Panchavaktra (Panchavaktra) temple, which is a Sanskrit word, which means five faces (pancha + vaktra), this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

It is situated at the confluence of the Beas and Suketi rivers. It is one of the oldest temples and one of the most visited tourist places in Mandi. No one has been able to find out how ancient it is.

Dhaar : Happy place in the Summers 🏔️

In Himalayan mountain range of India and Pakistan; Most of the people go to upper side of the mountains with their animals.

In India specifically; Gujjars and Gadhis go to these places with their livestock.

They live here approximately for 4-5 months as milk production is really good during this time. Also, weather is very pleasent.

These people build their own Deras(temporary settlement) for this time.

We do recommend these places for trekking and request everyone to take extra precaution as most of these areas are difficult to touch in comparison to popular treks.

Ensure you enjoy the mother nature and at the same time keep in intact for the future generations.

We will share more details about these beautiful locations in coming posts :)

River Saal is one of the tributaries of Ravi river.

Ravi flows from India to Pakistan. So, the water you touch here in India flows into Pakistan without any visa, borders or restrictions. 🤍

Minjar Festival ☘️

One of the most beautiful festivals for communal harmony and a live example for the world. 🙏

On this day head of Mirza family that offers first minjar to Hindu deities to mark the beginning of Minjar Festival on the second Sunday of the Sharavan month.

We got a chance to attend the Inauguration of this festival.

We will keep sharing more about culture, art and examples set in the history & still followed by communities in different parts of Himachal as well as India. 🌸

It was a delight to host people from multiple states of India at one of our Deras in Himachal. 💫

We treated everyone as a family and everyone got engaged even in preparing local food, trek towards temple and played with young kids at our place.

It's truely home away from home for everyone. 🏡

Few of the guests played Ukulele, flute and got engaged in other activities. 😃

It was a great jamming session and overall good time spent for all the guests away from their busy city life. 😇
