Nandi (Sanskrit: नन्दि), is the bull vahana of the Hindu god Shiva, meaning happiness, joy, and satisfaction.

Nandi got the divine knowledge of Agamic and Ta***ic wisdom taught by Shiva, from the goddess Parvati. He is considered the chief guru of eight disciples of Nandinatha Sampradaya, namely Sanaka, Sanatana, Sanandana, Sanatkumara, Tirumular, Vyagrapada, Patanjali, and Sivayoga Muni. These eight disciples were sent in eight different directions of the world by Nandi, to spread this knowledge.

Built during the 7th century, Shore Temple is one of the oldest South Indian temples constructed in the Dravidian style and depicts the royal taste of the Pallava dynasty. The work of the temple has been listed amongst the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. It is located in Mahabalipuram and is one of the most photographed monuments in India situated on the shores of Bay of Bengal.

The Tungnath's highest point is Chandrashila. It literally means "Moon Rock." It is about 3,690 metres (12,110 feet) above sea level. This peak offers views of the Himalayas, including Nandadevi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba peaks and best place to see sunrise. There are several legends associated with this location. According to one such legend, this is the location where Lord Rama meditated after his victory over Ravana.

I captured this special moment during the most wonderful trek off the beaten paths in the Himalayas.
It's so impressive how skilled the local people cook chapatis on the stone. It was the most extraordinary experience in order to survive in the mountains.

Deoria Tal is located about 3 km atop a hill from the villages of Mastura and Sari, on Ukhimath. The lake is situated at an altitude of 2,438 metres in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state. Buddhist prayer wheels. Traditionally, the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" is written in Newari language of Nepal, on the outside of the wheel. According to the Dalai Lama the mantra has the power to "transform your impure body, speech and mind into the pure body, speech and mind of a Buddha."
