KOLAKHAM : Kolakham is a Piece of Heaven in the lap of Eastern Himalayas. A small hamlet nestled in Neora Valley Reserve Forest, facing the Eastern Himalayan peak. There are also many rare species of animals like Leopard, Himalayan Black Bear, Yellow Throated Marten, Red Fox, Sambhar, Kakar (Barking Deer), Leopard Cat, and Ghoral (Mountain Goat). Variety of birds such as Khaleej, Chir, and Koklass Pheasants, Minivets, Orioles, Red-billed Blue Magpie, White-crested Laughing Thrush, and Spotted Forktail and Birds of Prey include the majestic Golden Eagle, as well as the Himalayan Griffon and Lammergeiers are seen here.
