यात नमन, तमाशा आणि प्रत्येक गावात वेगवेगळे सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम चालतात. हजारो वर्ष कोकणातील लोकांनी आपल्या परंपरा आणि लोककला जपल्या आहेत होळीच्या निमित्ताने या गावागावात पाहता येतात. कोकणातील शिमगा हा एक विलक्षण अनुभव आहे. चिपळूण मधील शेरणे नावाचा उत्सव यात नारळ पटांगणात वेगवेगळ्या ठिकाणी लपवले जातात आणि देवाची पालखी ते नारळ शोधून काढते. संगमेश्वर देवरुख रत्नागिरी मधील शिमगा हा अजूनच वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण असतो. यामध्ये एका गावाची पालखी दुसऱ्या गावाच्या पालखीला भेटते
आणि या वेळेचा उत्साह, पालखी नाचवणे
हे अभूतपूर्व असते. हजारो लोक यावेळी एकत्र येतात, कोकणातला शिमगा कोकणात जाऊन पाहणे हा एक विलक्षण अनुभव आहे.. नेहमी देव / देवाची पालखी देवळात असते, अनेक गावात शिमग्याचे निमित्ताने ही पालखी देवळाबाहेर येते आणि देव घराघरामध्ये जातो . हा कोकणच्या दृष्टीने विलक्षण श्रध्देचा विषय आहे. आणि म्हणूनच देवाला भेटण्यासाठी पालखीची पूजा करण्यासाठी प्रत्येक कोकणी माणूस हा कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत आपल्या गावात जातो.

निसर्ग समृद्ध कोकणातील सण उत्सव परंपरा लोककला या जगभरातील पर्यटकांपर्यंत पोहोचाव्यात, आणि यातून ग्रामीण सांस्कृतिक पर्यटन आणि पर्यटनाची अर्थव्यवस्था विकसित व्हावी अशा स्वरूपाचा संकल्प ग्लोबल कोकण ने केला आहे. म्हणूनच यावर्षी आम्ही पर्यटकांसाठी शिमगा हा उपक्रम सुरू करत आहोत.

पर्यटकांसाठी शिंगोत्सव या अंतर्गत खेड देवरुख आणि संगमेश्वर या तीन तालुक्यांमध्ये विशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजित केले आहेत. पहिल्या दिवशी खेड तालुक्यांमध्ये महाळुंगे या गावी प्रत्यक्ष होळीमध्ये सहभागी होता येईल, यावेळी ज्यांची इच्छा असेल त्या पर्यटकांना गावात शेतकऱ्यांच्या घरांमध्ये राहता येईल, गावातील लोककला ,लोकसंस्कृती प्रत्यक्ष अनुभवता येईल. रघुवीर घाट, रामवरदाईनी देवी, जगबुडी नदीत पोहण्याचा कार्यक्रम अशी अनेक आकर्षण पहिल्या दिवशी असतील. दुसऱ्या दिवशी थेट मार्लेश्वर दर्शन, थोडं सह्याद्री पर्यटन अशी योजना आहे.त्यानंतर संगमेश्वर तालुक्यात राजवाडी या गावी जाऊन देशातील पहिले गरम पाण्याचे स्विमिंग पूल, जिथे जमिनीतील फ्रेश गरम पाणी थेट स्विमिंग पूल मध्ये सोडले जाते आणि यात पर्यटकांना पोहता येते . मला वाटते जगातील थेट गरम पाण्याचे कुंड
आणि यात पोहण्याचा कार्यक्रम असा हा पहिला उपक्रम असेल. याच गावातील दोन पुरातन मंदिरे आणि रात्री गावकऱ्यांबरोबर होळीच सेलिब्रेशन आणि गप्पा अशा स्वरूपाचा दुसऱ्या दिवशीचा कार्यक्रम आहे.
या गावातील गावकऱ्यांनी एकत्र येऊन सतीश कामत यांच्या समन्वयातून ग्रामीण सांस्कृतिक पर्यटन विकसित केले आहे.

तिसऱ्या दिवशी संगमेश्वर तालुक्यात एका गावात जाऊन दिवसा त्या गावातील वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण शिमग्याचा अनुभव घेण, आणि गावकऱ्यांबरोबर सहभागी होणे, याचबरोबर संगमेश्वर तालुक्यातील सर्वात पुरातन गाव
संभाजी महाराजांच्या पदस्पर्शाने पावन झालेले कसबा या गावातील पंधराशे वर्षांपूर्वीची जुनी मंदिरे कर्णेश्वर ,सप्तेश्वर
प्रत्यक्ष पाहणे असा कार्यक्रम आहे. भारतीय इतिहासातील तेजस्वी सूर्य छत्रपती संभाजी महाराजांना कारस्थान करून औरंगजेबाने ज्या गावात पकडले हे ऐतिहासिक गाव आणि त्या जागा प्रत्यक्ष पाहता येतील.

तीन दिवस भरगच्च कार्यक्रम आहे आणि
कोकणातील शिमगा खऱ्या अर्थाने अनुभवण्याचा आणि जगण्याचा हा एक विलक्षण योग आहे. पर्यटकांना शेतकऱ्याच्या घरांमध्ये आणि गावात राहण्याच्या व्यवस्था करण्यात येणार आहेत. अर्थात हा निसर्गप्रेमी आणि सांस्कृतिक प्रेमी पर्यटकांसाठी उपक्रम आहे. पंचतारांकित हॉटेलमध्ये राहणे आणि केवळ लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थळांना भेटी देणे अशा स्वरूपाचं पर्यटन करणाऱ्यांसाठी हा उपक्रम नाही. निसर्गाचा आनंद घेताना, गावागावात प्रत्यक्ष फिरताना काही गैरसोयी सहन कराव्या लागतील हे सहन करण्याची
ज्या निसर्गप्रेमी पर्यटकांची तयारी आहे केवळ त्यांनीच या उपक्रमात सहभागी व्हावे.
