One of my favourite sightings in the Pipartola Grassland of Panna National Park. If you look in the background you see how tall the grass is. One can only imagine how tonight it could be to spot possible predator or even prey. The tall grass was the only reason for the leopard to go up a tree in the middle of the grassland. The tactical leopard went up the tree as of it’s a watch tower. A perfect vantage point for spotting prey in this serene grassland. Will always cherish this moment.

‘Judi’ is one of the most iconic spots at Panna National Park. This stream start off as a natural spring and merges into the Karnavati river. Judi has always had regular tiger movement considering the uniqueness of remaining green, cool and stunningly beautiful throughout the year. Nowdays it’s playground for a family of 5 (mother and 4 cubs). When the tigers are not around one can hope to spend hours here observing all forms of life. Birds, Butterflies , Trees, Insects , Snakes (if you are lucky) , Deer.
Judi will always have a special place in the hearts of all the guides, drivers and the people who have been here.

Nature is all about surprises! It was 11PM and I was heading back home after a Mahua night. I usually drive slow at night just incase I happen to spot any nocturnal animals like porcupines, civets, wolves , pangolins and yes big cats. Never had I expected this tough. A known female tiger roaming around on the main road. I was in absolute shock to see her walk and mark her territory. A lovely sight of a female leopard making her way to her hidden cubs. Leopards coexist with the tigers, wild dogs and other leopards and hence have to be very careful with the movement pattern. Marking territory and protecting the young ones is task. Here a female is calling out and and communicating with her cubs to stay where they are .
