There are two places in Rishikesh where you can witness Ganga Arti, one is Triveni Ghat and the other is at Parmarth Niketan Ashram. We choose to stay with Parmarth Ashram. Anyone can reach here on foot after walking 500 metres from Ram Jhula.

Here Ganga Arti happens every single day at sunset (time depends on season). We were there at 5 pm and Arti started at 6 o'clock. Alot of people were buying diyas and flowers for the Arti session.

The interesting part is that the Arti is performed by the children who are studying the Vedas there. I could easily see a boy of nearly 7 years in the group. Firstly, the hawan was done and then the Arti began with the chanting of mantras and some devotional songs.

You can just sit there, fold your hands and join them in singing songs. The air in the surroundings was blissful and I was lost in the environment.

Have you ever attended The Ganga Arti?

Laksham Jhula in Rishikesh is a renowned and popular landmark. According to the legends, Lord Lakshman crossed the river Ganga using just two jute ropes. It is also said that there is a kund is a temple named Lakshman temple which is located near the jhula. This kund was used by Lord Rama and Lakshman to take a holy dip after killing Ravana.

A 284 ft long hanging rope bridge was built at the same place in the honor of Lord Lakshman. Until 1889, it was just a rope bridge that was used to cross the river. A flood came in 1924 and washed away the bridge. Afterwards, another suspension bridge was built at the same place which we see today.

Apart from crossing the bridge, you can explore 13 storeys Trimbakeshwar Mahadev temple located at one end. There is a way down to ghat from where you can get a better view of jhula with mountain and flowing river. And don't forget to explore the local market nearby.

The newly built Yog Nagari Rishikesh railway station started its operations in January 2021. I must say, it is one of the most beautiful and clean railway stations I've been to.

This rail line is a part of the Rishikesh - Karn Prayag rail route, still under construction. It consists of 3 platforms with a lot of greenery outside.

The very first thing that impressed me was the view when I deboarded the train. You can see an attractive mountain range from the platform itself.

So, if you are planning to visit Rishikesh, I recommend you take a train or visit this fantastic place. I'm sure you will fall in love with it.

Have you been to this picturesque place in Lucknow?

Located in Gomtinagar area of Lucknow, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Park is dedicated to Bhim Rao Ambedkar for his social work. This iconic place is entirely made of marbles and various bonsai trees.

Most noteworthy, the grand statues of Ambedkar Sahab are perched at different locations inside the park.

Also, the whole park is made in such a way to depict the life of Bhimrao Ambedkar, and the aerial view of the park seems to be of a flower with four petals.

In addition, this place becomes extremely hot in summer, and so if you come here on a summer day, please choose the evening for visiting this park.

Moreover, from the eye of a photographer, this place exceeds the minimum requirements by far. In some areas inside the park, you’ll find stunning reflections on the marble floor. In conclusion, this is perfect for great photos.

Whenever Jama Masjid is mentioned, the Red Jama Masjid of Old Delhi starts revolving in our minds. But apart from that, there are many Jama Masjid that can be seen in the country. Among them, one is also situated in Lucknow. In terms of architecture, it is very beautiful and impressive.

also known as Jami Masjid, it is situated in the Hussainabad area behind the Chhota Imambada. The construction was started by Nawab Hussain Ali Shah in 1839, but due to his sudden death, the construction couldn't be completed. After his death, the construction of the mosque was completed by his wife Mallika Jahan.

If Nawab Hussain Ali lived for few more years then for sure, Jama Masjid in Lucknow would have been bigger than the existing Jama Masjid in Delhi. It is built on a platform with Lakhori bricks.

You can enter the premises of this beautiful architecture only if you are a Namaji, if you are a non-Namaji then you will have to go back from outside (can be seen on a board over there).

Built-in 1754, the Tomb of Safdarjung is a popular tourist attraction, which has an architecture similar to that of Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi. Well, it’s not just the way both these historical tombs are constructed, both these tombs belong to eminent Mughal leaders.

What you will love most about the place is the environment it provides. It has a very calm environment, unlike most of the crowded areas in Delhi. Also, the place is well-maintained and you can carry food inside while you are visiting.

The architecture has many different aspects of the ancient Mughal architecture, and the entire construction is composed of many popular Arabic engravings. The garden surrounding the mausoleum also provides a very aesthetic landscape for photography.

Your brain wants your life to be predictable. Your emotions want your life to be stable. But stability and predictability are, interestingly, how you stay stuck and in survival mode.

You can only have freedom in your life when you leave stability and predictability behind you. You cannot be free unless you step into the unknown.

If you’re not willing to step into the unknown, then you’re a hostage to what you know. You’re a slave to your current circumstances.

You’re a slave to your emotions.
You’re a slave to your story.
You’re a slave to the fixed mindset you have about what you think you are.

So, Are you free, or are you a slave to certainty? Are you a slave to needing to know how things will turn out?

If you’re not free, then you’re not living. If you’re not free, then you’re not evolving. If you’re not free, then you’re not learning and becoming.

Just remember, "Freedom exists outside your story."

Gautam Buddha embodied the spirit of peace, acceptance, and non-attachment to material possessions, and through his messages, we can come to a better understanding of our spiritual and emotional selves.

This was a secluded Buddha temple we found on the outskirts of Fazilnagar merely 20 km from mainland Kushinagar.

There were crop fields, lush greeneries, wildflowers, and a rugged way to this temple. Amidst the chaos, we found peace in this spectacular yet secluded temple.

Enchanting valleys, high peaks, rivers yielding rain, and the elixir of rain! Embellished with all these ornaments is a small hill station in Karnataka – Coorg.

Walking some distance away from the city centre, one can reach the Raja’s seat, one of the most important tourist spot in Coorg. This is an amazing place. Here you can get the privilege of seeing mountain ranges, sunrise, sunset, and coffee plantations at a height.

It has been given the form of a park to spend time with children and family. It is said that the kings of this fort used to come with their queens to watch the sunset. We also sat down to watch the sunset and I am sure it felt like a king.

For the love of the majesties, nature and our deep history, this is one of the exciting places to visit in Coorg.

How do you see a flower?

Flowers find a way to our hearts. Their colors and the perfume they have are the ones that make us happy. And the best thing in the world is to bring happiness to other people.

And in order to bring joy to others you first need to find happiness in your own heart. This is why you should always try to enrich your life with quality music, tender feelings, and good people.

Life itself is a flower. It never stops growing and blossoming (as long as we keep watering it properly). When we give flowers as gifts, they become a personal expression of our feelings for each other.

They make people smile. This is why you should practice the unconditional love every single day. Just like flowers do.

Situated near Banke Bihari temple, Radha Vallabh temple is dedicated to Radha, a Hindu goddess, and consort of Krishna.

There’s no deity of Radhaji inside the temple, but a crown is put beside the Lord Radha Vallabh (Krishna), portraying Radha. It was built by the Radha-Vallabh Sect, which emphasizes the worship of Radharani.

The temple is peaceful in inexplicable ways and is a must-visit. It is also situated between the narrow lanes of Vrindavan.

Located in the outskirts of Mathura, Raman Reti is a large and spacious sandy compound comprising beautiful temples, a deer sanctuary, and a Bird Sanctuary. You can see deers roaming here along with swans and Emus basking in the sun.

It is indeed beautiful. It also has small huts surrounded by green trees to enable the saints, ascetics, and pilgrims to relax and enjoy the serene environment.

Here Lord Krishna frequented to engage in divine plays (Raman) with his brother, Balarama, and his cowherd friends. This is also the place he chose to meet his love, Radha before embarking on their journey to Vrindavan together.

As we know that Lord Krishna performed many miracles in his childhood and Raman Reti is witnessed most of them, therefore, the site plays an important role in the life of Lord Krishna and very much popular among the locals and tourists.

Do you know about Nidhivan?

If not let us tell you that it is a mysterious place located in Vrindavan. We were very much curious to explore it.

It is a widespread belief that Krishna performs Ras Leelas with Radha, and these trees turn into Gopis (humans) in the night, even today.

Nobody can see them, and the one who tries to do so either goes blind, or something happens, due to which that person can’t express what they saw. Therefore, the complex is emptied by dusk, and no one can stay inside after that.

Renowned historians and scientists have visited Nidhivan to unravel the mystery but all of them went away empty-handed.

Lord Krishna has imparted crucial knowledge about love in Bhagavad Gita. He has adhered to this belief in Bhagavad Gita; he quotes, “The only way you can conquer me is through Love and there I am gladly conquered”.

We make enemies from emotions like hate, anger, vengeance, and such feelings. We can win people to our sides by spreading love and losing such emotion.

True love is free from expectation, anger, and any other emotion, it involves an only act of giving, void of any expectation or null feeling.

Krishna taught us the same in Mahabharata, he quoted, “He who has no attachments can really love others, for his love is pure and divine.”

Whatever happened, happened for the good. Whatever is happening, is happening for the good. Whatever will happen, will also happen for the good.

Whatever you’re sulking about, forget it. The job interview that didn’t go well, or the relationship that didn’t work was bound to happen and it happened. Everything happens for a reason.

There is a reason you’re going through a bad phase and there is a reason you might be basking in glory - it’s a cycle and you need to quietly accept it. You need not worry about the future, nor should you pay attention to the past. You only have control over the present, so live it to the fullest.

In our country, cow represents the sacred principle of motherhood. She symbolizes charity and generosity because of the way she distributes her milk, which is essential for the nourishment of mankind.

She is not a mere animal for Hindus. We consider her as adobe of 33 crore Hindu Deities and hence Cow is considered sacred in Hindu Dharma. She has been treated as auspicious and also a symbol of compassion and piousness.

The Vedas have stated that the milk of a cow is equivalent to ambrosial nectar and that ghee derived from cows' milk is the best of all libations poured onto the sacred fires of brahmins.

In chapter 10, verse 28 verse of Bhagwad Geeta, Lord Krishna reveals that among cows He is manifested as the kamadhuk meaning kamadhenu the original wish fulfilling cows known as the surabhi cows.

Another temple that holds another set of goofy stories of another deity, Goddess Parvati in the form of Katyayani.

The Uma Shakti Peeth that accommodates the sword of Devi, known as Uchawal Chandrahaas.

This temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati who is in the form of Katyayani.

According to mythologies, this is the place where a lock of Devi Sati's hair fell!

Vishram Ghat in Mathura is the main ghat and is the center of 25 other ghats. It is believed that Lord Shree Krishna rested here after killing Kansa.

It is also one of the places where you. An enjoy boating in colorful boats and take some pictures of the Yamuna. And yeah you can see a bunch of monkeys here and there, just walking around, looking for something to eat.

We Offered prayers in the temple and rested beside the ghat for few minutes. An old person came and sat down with us and started describing the ancient tales related to Shree Krishna. We listened very carefully. 😇

At a distance of 10 km from Agra, Sikandra is located. It is the place where the tomb of Akbar is situated. He chose this place for his cremation.

If you're interested in history and architecture, this can be a place to explore on the outskirts of Agra. The very first building you encounter just before the main tomb is that grand entrance gate.

The gate is a double-storeyed building with two small chhatris in front as typically seen in Rajput architectures. Also, there are four minarets on the top four sides, which are built of white marble.

It is made of red sandstone and the fine workmanship done to the ornamentation makes it even more mesmerizing.

Let me take you to another Mugal Period building.

Kanch Mahal is located in the Sikandra. It was a harem quarter or ladies resort used by Jehangir as hunting lodge. It is a two storyed building and was built sometime between 1605-1619 during the reign of Jehangir. The square central hall has four rooms in each corner.

The front of the building is decorated with detailed tile work while the back of the building is completely plain. The stairways lead to the second floor which has rooms similar to the ground floor plan. The structure was made of brick masonry and internally plastered. The exterior was finished with finely carved red sands.

Glass work is something that is attractive. The colorful carvings will make you stop for a moment. The windows are on outer side and similar to Rajput Architecture. Because of its beautiful glass work it is know as Kaanch Mahal.

When you enter from the entrance gate of Agra Fort, the very first monument you see on your right side is Jahangiri palace. It was constructed by his father Akbar and also known as Akbari Palace.

Nowadays one side of the palace is ruined and one can imagine how it would have been in those times. Let me tell you it was the residence of the Mughal Emperor Akbar.

The whole complex is jointly known as Bengali Mahal. Wait? Bengali Mahal?? I too amazed and confused, but after going through the ASI board, I got my doubts clear. It's coz of its flat roof and tilted ceiling and small rectangular courtyard inside. All credit goes to Akbar, how he created such a huge fort from a small brick fort.

People often get confused between Jahangiri Palace, Akbari Palace, and Bengali Palace. It was known as Akbari Palace till Akbar lived, after that Jahangiri made it his residence and it was then known as Jahangiri Palace.
