Grateful to have witnessed this amazing sight a few days ago. A young Himalayan Ibex was stuck on a ledge, probably injured, and wasn't able to find its way up the mountain. 2 Snow Leopard siblings, youngsters separated from their mother recently, were trying to negotiate their way along the steep mountainside to get at the potential meal. Eventually, one of them got close to the ibex and made an attempt at a kill. The ibex managed to free itself from the jaws of the Snow Leopard, only to plunge to its death in the river far below.

The Snow Leopards made their way down the mountain and had their fill on the ibex.

Mukhathezhuthu (Makeup), is one of the most important parts of the Theyyam ritual. It's not an easy go, really complex design, minute details with each design and colours just not on the face but the entire body.
