The great sense of exhilaration as you tee off amidst a vast green expanse, merging with majestic mountains and deep blue splendour view of Dodital.
Dodital is like a shimmering emerald set in the crest of mountains. The trek leads through peaceful country, murmuring streams with crystal clear waters, and dense alpine forests, all blending together like a vast green gleaming robe.
To reach Dodital, one may reach Uttarkashi, then it’s a 15 km drive along the curves of the Asi Ganga to Kalyani (1,829m) and Sangam Chatti, here the trek starts. Kalyani to Agoda its a slow climb through woods, fields and villages, on a slipper track, while the trek from Agoda to Dodital takes you through thick forests.
One need to get fishing permits from Uttarkashi before heading towards to Kalyani.

COMING BACK UP IS HARD!
Plan on taking twice as long to hike up as it took to hike down. Allow 1/3 of your time to descend and 2/3 of your time to ascend. As a courtesy, give uphill hikers the right of way. Bring a small, lightweight flashlight in case you end up hiking in the dark.
