🌟 Evisa for the British: India has reopened Evisas for British passport holders - finally. The usual Evisa application process applies but if you need any help for your clients please be in touch with us. Thank you to everyone who worked through the challenges of obtaining visas for your clients from the UK, it’s not been easy so we are delighted the Evisa is back.

One of our favourite Indian journeys is the combination of a Ladakh adventure with a spa break at Ananda in the Himalayas near Rishikesh.

Fly up to Leh for a 7 night Shakti Ladakh private journey and then it’s a hop skip and a jump (almost) via Delhi to reach Ananda and allow the rejuvenation to begin.

It is believed that Ayurveda is best done in the summer monsoon months of July, August and September - when Ladakh is also at its gorgeous, mesmerising best.

The magic that is The Sacred Music Festival will return to the gorgeous Nagaur Fort 17th-19th February 2022. This intimate and life affirming festival is a celebration of cultures and a once in a lifetime experience. Set with the back drop of the Fort lit with 1000’s of lamps, this Sufi music festival makes for a wonderful addition to a Rajasthan journey. Limited places available.

‘s recent Rajasthan trip included a stay at the new Six Senses Fort Barwara. A 700 year old Fort located about 3 hours from Jaipur in the countryside. Meticulously renovated, this Fort will be another lovely option for guests looking for a break from the colourful cities.

When planning trips for the coming season we are finding that guests are looking for longer and slower - this suits Rajasthan perfectly as there is so much variety and the potential for curating a beautifully paced and diverse itinerary.

A safari in India, well planned and executed, is balm for the soul and should be prescribed by doctors… To be in nature, to appreciate the multi-layered eco system is both thrilling and soothing. Jamshyd’s Rajasthan trip this week has included time in the jungles of Ranthambore and a stay at SUJÁN Sher Bagh. The camp has just reopened after a complete renovation and looks incredible. Thank you to for the images.

Ranthambore Tiger Reserve offers one of the best safari experiences in India - we highly recommend the coveted half or full day safari which enable very exclusive access to the park when it is closed to the general public. No better time to plan a Ranthambore safari experience. Doctor’s orders!

It’s been a long road here since March 2020 but it’s been great for Jamshyd to be reminded this week of what’s so truly special about travel in India. The people, the places, the experiences, the service and the food - it’s all just as good as we left it all those months ago. But now there is also a big sense of anticipation and gratitude in the air.

Another stop on Jamshyd’s trip was RAAS Chhatrasagar - in its new avatar. Like the many inspired rural stops we are blessed with in Rajasthan it’s a lovely contrast to the colourful cities.

Back on the road in Rajasthan. Our founder Jamshyd is travelling in rural Rajasthan ahead of our guests arriving soon, to check out new and improved product and experiences.

First up the freshly revamped and gorgeous SUJÁN JAWAI . Amongst the best wilderness experiences in Asia, the camp is looking fabulous and the safari experience second to none. So great to be out in the wild again - it feels better than ever to be travelling.

🚀 India to reopen for tourists from 15th November 2021 (and to tourists arriving on charters from 15th October).

It will have been 612 days without tourists arriving into India (we have been counting!). Now let’s get this party started!

Sub plot: currently there is a a quarantine rule in place for anyone arriving from the UK. We hope this will change soon. Watch this space.
