Brief Description of Process
ANODISING
An electrolytic oxidation process in which an aluminium component is made anodic in a cell containing an aqueous, acidic electrolyte, and metal cathode. When electric current is passed through the cell, the aluminium surface is converted into an adherent aluminium oxide coating called the aluminium substrate. POWDER COATING
A type of dry coating, applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint, the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is instead applied electro-statically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin.”
