Shymkent City is 3rd largest after Almaty and Astana in Kazakhstan. Lovely pedestrian street they call like in Moscow - Arbat. Its have lost of cafe, souvenirs , tourist village and Indian Restaurant Taj Mahal. We was try to compare it with Almaty and its find it same nice... Breaking News! Indian tourists will be able to get an electronic visa to Russia from 15 July 2022

The moratorium on issuing unified electronic visas for foreigners to enter Russia has been officially lifted. This follows from the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers published on 2022, July 15 on the state portal pravo.gov.ru , tourdom.ru

The ban on issuing entry documents was introduced at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, in March 2020. At that time, the Government reported that this measure was exceptional and temporary. However, it eventually took the authorities more than 2 years to cancel it.

At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers, in accordance with the decision of the operations center for combating coronavirus infection, introduced a number of significant exemptions for the entry of foreign tourists into Russia. In particular, now citizens of foreign countries do not need to provide additional grounds for arriving in the Russian Federation (study, work, treatment, etc.). At the same time, the norm applies both when crossing the sea, air, and land borders. The only requirement is the result of a PCR test done no later than 48 hours.

As for the e-visa itself, the mechanism of its operation remains unchanged. Citizens of 52 countries, including India, have the right to issue a document, it will be possible to enter Russia through any specially equipped checkpoint, regardless of the subject of the Russian Federation, and travel throughout the country. The consular fees - 40 USD, kids below 6 year old - free (Source: RusTourism)

Now, a universal single-entry electronic visa will radically simplify the process of obtaining a permit, allowing a foreign citizen to stay in Russia for up to 16 days in a period of up to 60 calendar days. In order to apply for an electronic visa, a tourist will only need to fill out an online application, which will be reviewed by the foreign Ministry within four days.

Paresh Navani of Russian Information Center in India commented that “This will enable Indian tourists to book their tours to Russia just 5 days before intended date of departure making the process simple and quick, also normally the longer duration tours are between 10-14 days and this new system of 16 day visas will also be usefull in cases where the guest cannot return back as per schedule due to ilness or any other reasons with out having to worry about visa expiry matters. Further, the tourist can also extend their tours on the ground in Russia if any destination is added or interest on extra topics makes the toursit wish for extension. Overall this digistisation of the visa process, duration of 16 days, access to all regions of Russia and the sharp reduction in processing time for all Russian regions is a boon for the travel trade and our guests wanting to visit Russia.”

Medeu - Shymbulak cable car — a cable car in Almaty from the Medeo sports complex to the Shymbulak ski resort via the Medeu tract, was opened in 2011.

In ancient times, many nomadic peoples used hunting birds along with dogs. In Kazakhstan, this ancient tradition has been preserved to this day. The bones of these birds are found by archaeologists during the excavation of burials. From this, scientists concluded that such a tradition goes back at least 3000 years into the past. Hunting with a falcon, a hawk, a gyrfalcon was a privilege of the rich people, and ordinary people usually hunted with golden eagles. Nowadays hunting with hunting birds is officially recognized as a national sport. The championship of Kazakhstan is regularly held, in which golden eagles from all over the country participate. In Kazakhstan today, according to official data, there are about a hundred golden eagles.

The ascent by cable car to the highest mountain is considered a mandatory point of any visit to Dombay. In good weather, you can admire Elbrus and views of the Caucasus Mountain Range from its top. The height of the mountain is 3,012 meters. At the top, even in summer, the snow does not melt, there is a cafe and the upper station of the cable car.

You can only get to Lake Gizhgit by jeep. In general, jeep tours are very common in the Elbrus region , but we didn't have much time, so we chose only this lake to explore. The mountains and hills around remind me of shots from a movie about hobbits... Generally on. The Caucasus has very different landscapes every ten kilometers ... And you can see a lot of things here - hot Ichtochniki, mineral springs , waterfalls , valleys, ancient cities ... There are still a few days of travel ahead, follow us;)

Sure we cant miss the topic about Caucasian cuisine. It is can please the Indians even more than Russian one, as all communities in Caucasus traditionally use a lot of spices. "Khychin" - a bread stuffed with vegetables-is very similar to Indian parata and is suitable for vegetarians. "Shorpa" - spicy lamb soup is recommended for meat eaters.

Cheget Glade is another resort town in Elbrus region. A small green valley is surrounded by snow peaks , there are many hotels and restaurants here. And there is also an open cable car that lifts to a height of 3000 meters and from where mt. Elbrus is very clearly visible from the side (the cable car from Azau leads to Elbrus foot so that the mountain itself is usually not visible).

Mount Elbrus - the highest in Europe is located in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic , and area around is called the Elbrus region. Two small towns of Terskol and Azau are just two hours drive from Pyatigorsk. There are a lot of hotels here, and it is a starting point for those who want to conquer the peak and for ordinary tourists like us, who like to enjoy the mountains in comfortable way. The highest cable car in Europe starts from Azau (2300 meters above sea level). On it, you can be lifted to a height of 3950 meters. There is always snow here, and it is from here the path for climbers to Elbrus begins (5960 meters above sea level). But even this path can be made easier - take a ratrekker or a snowmobile that will take you up through the snow to a height of 5200 meters. Of course, you will still have to walk the last 500 meters to Elbrus, but this is probably the easiest way in the world to climb to such a height without spending any physical effort! We are often asked where to see snow in Russia in the summer - so this is where it is possible all year round!

Yesterday we started our journey through Caucasus region - these beautiful mountains are located in the South of Russia. The city of Pyatigorsk is our first stop - we was pleasantly impressed. It is located in a valley and is surrounded by five mountain peaks. You should definitely take a ride on the cable car and walk around the historical center, which is full greenery and flowers, and the architecture has its own southern accent (a mixture of Art Nouveau style and South Russian traditional architecture). And it was not by chance that we found India here too - an exhibition of Russian-Indian friendship was held in the Lermontov Gallery, and Hare Krishnas were sitting on the main street of the city ;)
