Barren Island, which is located about 135 km away from Port Blair, is home to the only active volcano in South Asia.

Just like its name, the island is completely devoid of inhabitants but it’s a sight to behold and you can charter a boat from Havelock to go see this marvel. The snorkelling in and around barren is a must because the reef-life is vibrant and alive!

If you’re looking for a never-done-before experience while you’re in Andamans, going to an active volcano might be it.
