It was year 2007 when Sameer bought his first DSLR and decided to travel SE Asia just to photograph and experience the people and places. Whilst still on his day job and a being hardcore foodie, what fascinated him to travel was exploring the local cuisines, meet new people and understanding the their culture by staying with them. He felt that, to experience a place to the fullest, one must be ope

n enough to interact with the locals, taste their culinary delights and abide by their customs. It was here where the first idea of "Travelographood" came to his mind. Complicated as a name it is but it had something that included Travel, Photography and Food. Fast forward a few of years and he had already traveled Malaysia, Borneo, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Bhutan, Singapore, Europe, US and experienced various cultures. Not to mention the constant search of new experiences in India. Some of his adventures like Borneo, Thailand and Bhutan included his friends while some like Vietnam were a 13 day solo adventure. Forgoing the luxury of big hotels and chauffeur driven rides he chose to travel in to public transport and live in home-stays which gave him a chance to meet new people and experience the actual life. The question that then popped up in his mind was "Can I provide the same immersive experience to other travelers?" The answer was resounding "Yes, Sure I can." The German word "Uber" meaning "Ultimate" was inspired by his favorite 7 time Formula 1 World Champion and German Driver - Michael Schumacher. The word "Uber" resounded with his feeling of being the "Ultimate Traveler". Uber Traveler today is committed to delivering that immersive experience to you. Be it the culture or the traditions, the incredible food or the wonderful people, we want you to be the "Ultimate Traveler" when you explore the many awe inspiring adventures and places around the world.

REZA

Growing up in Saudi Arabia and India,Reza was lucky enough to take family holidays to Sri Lanka, Egypt, and Singapore. It started a thirst for travel that has taken him all over the world, from Australia, Europe and the US, to S.E. Asia and across Africa. As a child, Reza used the basic family point-and-shoot camera to record their travels. As he grew, his interest in photography also grew and in his 20s’ he obtained his first ‘real’ camera, a Canon 30D. He continued learning and experimenting which led to winning the Canon Photo Marathon in 2010. Judges noted his creativity and photo-journalistic style.

Following that, he received training from a National Geographic photographer which gave him invaluable skills and insight. Reza records his trips through his lens (or should I say ‘lenses’, one is never enough). On this trip, he will pass on his experience of Savannah and wildlife photography to you with optional photography workshops. Reza loves diving and has his PADI advanced open water certification. He seeks out holiday destinations with incredible diving opportunities. The only thing that makes a trip better is if the local food is amazing too. As an epicurian, he explores the local food with gusto - it could be pad thai on the beach from a street vendor in Kamala beach in Thailand, cacao e pepe in a hole-in-the wall trattoria in Rome. Ask him about his favorite Nyama Choma joint (Kenyan grilled meat) in Nairobi, he will try take you there. Reza is also a polyglot, he loves learning new languages and tries his best to communicate in the local language every time he travels. He'll join you as you learn the local culture and a bit of Swahili, so you can say 'Jambo!' 'Asante' and 'Sana' to the locals. Reza’s most amazing trip was through Masai Mara. He recalls the long drive, far from civilisation across miles of desert, hoping they wouldn’t run out of petrol and be left stranded overnight on the plains. His photos tell the story of the huge open savanna, with zebras, lions, and tigers prowling in long grass. The isolation and wildness of Masai Mara earned Kenya a place in his heart.
