Aarsha Hospitality-Village Discoveries

Church Bells Homestay and History of Kanjirappally:-

This homely abode which is century old called Church Bells Homestay is located at the serene and rubber plantation filled location of Kanjirappally, Kottayam, Kerala. This home is a specimen of traditional Keralite architecture in rich wood decor and it dates back to almost a century. This home stay is ideally located near to many religious centres especially the St.Mary's Church or the Pazhayapally. The other notable fact is that this homestay also lies near the South India's largest fruit sapling production nursery called the Home Grown Biotech Nursery.

Kanjirapally at a Glance:-

Kanjirapally, a very old agrarian settlement on the fertile foothills of the Western Ghats, has traditionally been home to the largest land owning Christian families in Kerala, much like how Ottappalam had been for the Nair Hindus. This has made this place an early pocket of Christian affluence in the state. Unlike in most parts of Kerala, agricultural land in Kanjirapally has managed to remain un-fragmented to this day. The Achayans(as known locally) here take pride in the fact their affluence is completely attributed to plantation agriculture, and to no other source.
