Sikkim is a small but beautiful state in the lap of eastern Himalaya having elevation ranges from 300 mts to over 8500 mts above sea level. The state is spread bellow the mt Kanchendzonga and its family sometimes called “the Best Ice capped panorama in the world”. The eastern lap of Himalaya normally receives highest amount of rainfall. That’s the reason you can find lush green valleys and mountai

ns here. In the contrary you will find cold deserts at the extreme north of the state as it is a part of Tibetan plateau (sometimes called "the Roof of the World"). Its meandering streams, fast flowing beautiful rivers, people, culture everything attracts you additionally. Because of all these sometimes It is called the land of majestic splendor. Because of the altitudes that vary right from sea level to summits that touch the skies, the flora and fauna naturally covers a wide spectrum. Nowhere in the world in such a small area can one find flora and fauna of all varieties - Tropical to the Alpines. Sikkim's botanical and zoological richness is awe- inspiring, boasting of more than 4000 species of plants and 30% of all the birds found in the Indian sub-continent.
