Hampi was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th century. Chronicles left by Persian and European travellers, particularly the Portuguese, say that Hampi was a prosperous, wealthy and grand city near the Tungabhadra River, with numerous temples, farms and trading markets.

Kaas Pathaar Trip

'Kaas Pathar' or 'Plateau of Flowers'.
Kaas Pathar is UNESCO's World Nature Heritage Site since 2012. More than 850 species of flowering plants are reported on the plateau. 624 species have entered in the Red Data Book. Out of these 624 species, 39 are found only in Kas Pathar.
