This temple, with a world heritage, is older than the Taj Mahal, the 11th-century Hoysala princess built. Seeing the finishing of all the idols of this stone temple, you can see that the Indian craftsman was so advanced and great ❤

Bhitargaon Temple, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Built in 5th century by Gupta empire,
This is the oldest remaining brick/terracotta Hindu shrine with a roof & a high shikhara. The total height from ground to top is 68.25 feet. This temple has terracotta sculpture of Deities Ganesha, Durga(Mahisasurmardini) and also Ramayana Related sculptures.

Mysuru, Karnataka.

The Chamundeshwari Temple is a Hindu temple located on the top of Chamundi Hills about 13 km from the palace city of Mysuru in the state of Karnataka in India. The temple was named after Chamundeshwari or, the fierce form of Shakti, a tutelary deity held in reverence for centuries by the Maharaja of Mysuru.
Chamundeshwari is called by the people of Karnataka as Naada Devi (ನಾಡ ದೇವಿ), which means state Goddess. It is situated at the elevation of around 3300ft from the mean sea level.

It is believed that Goddess Durga slayed the demon king Mahishasura on the top of this hill which was ruled by him. The place was later known as Mahishooru (Place of Mahisha). The British changed it to Mysore and later Kannadized into Mysuru

The Chamundeshwari Temple is considered as a Shakti Peetha and one among the 18 Shakti Peethas. It is known as Krouncha Pitha as the region was known in Puranic times as Krouncha Puri. It is said that the hair of Sati fell here.

चामुंडेश्वरी मंदिर, मैसूर

चामुंडेश्वरी मंदिर एक पारंपरिक हिंदू मंदिर है, जो चामुंडी पहाड़ियों पर 1000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है. यह मैसूर शहर से लगभग 13 km की दूरी पर है. और मैसूर के सबसे पुराने मंदिरों में से एक है।

चामुंडेश्वरी मंदिर को शक्ति पीठ माना जाता है, और यह 18 महा शक्ति पीठों में से एक है. कहा जाता है कि यहां सती देवी के बाल गिरे थे. देवी दुर्गा के नाम पर समर्पित मंदिर में नंदी और महिषासुर की मूर्तियां भी हैं. नंदी प्रतिमा को ग्रेनाइट द्वारा निर्मित माना जाता है .

Built in 8th century AD,That is before the construction of the Konark Sun Temple, Odisha (13th century AD) and Modera Sun Temple, Gujarat (11th Century).It is written by scholars that the architects built this magnificent edifice in a unique way so that the sunlight would fall on the idol (idol of Sun God) throughout the day.Martand temple is built on top of a plateau from where one can view the Kashmir Valley.

India actually lost another gem of a temple because of the invaders ...

On the surface of the boar are 675 miniature figures, carved in twelve neat rows. These figures represent many of the important Gods and Goddesses of the Hindu pantheon

Varadaraja_Perumal_Temple, stone chain, kanchipuram Tamilnadu INDIA 11th century

One of the most famous architectural pieces in the temple is the huge stone chain sculpted in a single stone.

There is a 100 pillared hall which has sculptures depicting Ramayana and Mahabaratha.

It is a masterpiece of Vijayanagara architecture. Hastagiri has murals of the late Vijayanagara empire on the ceiling.

Dwarapalaka at Hoysaleswara Temple in Halebidu, Karnataka INDIA. 12th century.

Its construction started around 1121 CE and was complete in 1160 CE. During the early 14th century, Halebidu was twice sacked and plundered by the Muslim armies of the Delhi Sultanate from northern India, and the temple and the capital fell into a state of ruin and neglect.

सत्य हीं #सनातन है! कभी सुगंधित #शिवलिंगों के बारे में सुना है ??? ऐसे दो #सुगंधित शिवलिंग मिले है, एक #सिरपुर उत्खनन में #छत्तीसगढ़ के पास पाया है, जो लगभग #2000वर्ष पुराना शिवलिंग है, जो #तुलसी की तरह महकता है और #दूसरा शिवलिंग #जास्मिन की तरह महकता है!
जब आप इसे #4सेकंड के लिए छूते है तो इनमें से एक #दिव्य गंध आने लगती है! हर-हर #महादेव!❤️
