History & Facts of Baby Taj I ताजमहल इसको देखकर बना था I Tomb of Itmad ud Daula I घुमने की जगह 2023
Agra's Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb (Itmad-ud-Daulah ka maqbara) is a Mausoleum of Itmad ud daula (Father of Nurjahan). Fourth Mughal Emperor Jahangir gave the title of Itmad ud daula to his Father in law Mirza Ghyas Beg. The tomb also has a grave of his wife Asmat Jahan along with a few more relatives. This tomb was built by Nur Jahan from 1622 to 1628. It has inspired the construction of the Tajmahal and therefore is known as Baby Taj.
It is located on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River and is built on a base of Red Stone. The main building is constructed of white marble from Rajasthan. Gemstone decorations include jasper, black onyx, and shells making images of cypress trees, cut fruit, and vases.
