While I was trekking in the nongriat region I found at least 20+ varieties of butterflies.

Am planning to come again here only for a butterfly specific trip next time.

Root Bridges are quite famous to the travelers visiting Meghalaya

The formation of these bridges is a very interesting eco-natural phenomenon to observe which is used by khasi people to cross the streams and rivers.

They used to plant the rubber trees on both sides or streams and when roots started growing then they used to direct them in each other's way. Once they become long enough they use bamboo strings to tie them. It's a very long process and requires frequent maintenance too.

Without disturbing the natural habitat of the ecosystem they used it to their survival. It's good to see that local khasi people are still taking care of them.

Caving in Meghalaya is one of the unique experiences.

Meghalaya has many caves which are famous for their long age, how they formed, and quite a difficult navigation.

Jaintia Hills , Khasi Hills, Garo Hills all of them have some caves. Please do visit if you plan a trip to Meghalaya.

The one visited is KREM MAWMULAH ( krem is khasi means Cave) . It's of 7km length but we did a short trail of 4.5 km .

Not just now but even from childhood I am very bad at making new friends. I never wanted so many people around me , sometimes it makes me feel uncomfortable too.

But after I started travelling, I made more potential friends than from school, college, or neighborhood.

Met People with similar hobbies, interests, thoughts. Had some great talks about nature and life. It feels good to be around people with the same vibe.

But even after all this , I still suck to initiate the conversations with new people 😅😅.
