Today 16th October, 30th Day of the Lunar Calendar, is a very holy and auspicious day and a very good day to pray and pay homage to Buddha Shakyamuini.
Four Noble Truths(Foundation of all Buddhist teachings):
-The Buddha Taught the Four Noble Truth which was the Truth of suffering, The Truth of the Origin of Suffering, the Truth of the path leading to Cessation of Suffering, and the Truth of Cessation of Suffering.
“Now, this is the noble truth concerning suffering: Birth comes with pain, decay is painful and death is painful. Union with the unpleasant is painful; painful is separation from the pleasant; and any craving that is unsatisfied, that too is painful. In brief bodily conditions, which spring from attachment, are painful. This is the noble truth concerning suffering.”

Today marks the first day of the “Saga Dawa” observed during the fourth month of the Tibetan calendar. The Saga Dawa, called the “month of merits” is the month during which five important life events of Lord Buddha took place. It is believed that Lord Buddha was conceived, born, defeated evil forces, attained enlightenment and passed away into parinirvana on the 15th day of this month.
Therefore, this month is one of the most auspicious times for Buddhist. It is said that both positive and negative deeds during this month is multiplied 100,000 times.

There is a slight change in the schedule of His Holiness visit to Bodh Gaya, 2020. Earlier it was confirmed that His Holiness teachings will be held in the beginning of February 2020. However, as per the recent announcement made by Office of Gadhen Phodhang, His Holiness teaching on Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo's Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva (laklen sodunma) will be held on January 2nd, 2020. And on January 3, His Holiness will confer an Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wang). For three days from January 4 to 6, His Holiness will complete The Wheel of Teachings on Manjushri Empowerments (Jamyang Choekhor) based on its proximal lineage that he began in Bodhgaya in 2018.

Due to the change in the schedule of His Holiness teaching, we had to prepone our Pilgrimage tour dates of Bodh Gaya.

Now our tour start from 28th December 2019 to 9th January 2020.
