ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦਰ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਮਲੇਰਕੋਟਲੇ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕੀ ਹੈ?
ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਹਿਸਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਤਾਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮਲੇਰਕੋਟਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਵਾਬ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਾਅ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਭੁਲਾਵੇਗਾ!

ਇਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਦਰਦੀ ਸਨ, ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ਼ ਸਹੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ। ਕਸ਼ਟ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਸ਼ੀਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੀ। ਠੀਕ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਦ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਕਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ, ਲੰਗਰ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਡੀਂਗਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਮਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪੇ ਬਣੇ 'ਭਾਈ ਘਨੱਈਏ' ਦਾ ਵਾਰਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਬਚਾ ਸਕੇ, ਜੋ ਤਰਸ-ਤਰਸ ਕੇ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸ਼ਰਮਨਾਕ, ਸਾਡੇ ਸਭ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਰਮਨਾਕ।
