CELEBRATING MOTHER’S HEALTH. . .Should be the goal. What do you say?
MOTHERS DAY celebrations are at peak this year. But do you think one day is enough to celebrate these boons of our existence. In taking care of their families they are losing themselves . And there is a major impact on their health. So here are some practical tips for mothers to prioritize their health:
1. Set Clear Boundaries- Establish boundaries around your time and responsibilities. Learn to say no when necessary to avoid overcommitting and feeling overwhelmed.
2. Schedule Me Time-Dedicate specific time slots in your schedule for self-care activities, whether it's exercise, reading, hobbies, or relaxation techniques. Treat this time as non-negotiable.
3. Prioritize Sleep- Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Create a bedtime routine and optimize your sleep environment for restful sleep.
4. Eat Nutritious Meals-Focus on a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats. Meal prep or plan ahead to ensure nutritious meals even on busy days.
5. Stay Active- Incorporate physical activity into your daily routine, even if it's in short bursts. Choose activities you enjoy to make exercise more enjoyable and sustainable.
6. Manage Stress- Practice stress-reducing techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, yoga, or mindfulness. Prioritize activities that help you unwind and relax.
7. Stay Connected- Nurture relationships with friends and family members for emotional support. Share your feelings and concerns instead of bottling them up.
8. Attend Regular Check-Ups- Schedule and attend regular health check-ups, screenings, and vaccinations. Proactive healthcare can catch issues early and prevent complications.
9. Delegate and Seek Help-Delegate tasks to family members or seek help with childcare and household responsibilities when needed. Don't hesitate to ask for support.
10. Practice Self-Compassion- Be kind to yourself and avoid self-criticism. Ack

This patient contacted us with the issues of skin allergies and rashes on various parts of her body. She has red patches all over her hands and fore arms with itching and visible signs of skin allergies.
She had respiratory allergies too.
We checked her constitution ( prakriti) and gave her a small detox plan and then a customized diet and exercise plan with minimal intervention with some ayurvedic medicinal products.
Patient followed all the instructions and plan with full enthusiasm and in few days we could see the results. But in 3 weeks all the rashes were gone and all the symptoms were relieved fully.
Patient was happy and so were we.

LESS VIT D= LESS WEIGHT LOSS
Never heard of that . But it's true
Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to weight gain and difficulty in losing weight. This is because vitamin D plays a role in regulating appetite, metabolism, and fat storage.
When levels are low, it can lead to increased fat accumulation and decreased ability to burn fat efficiently, making weight loss more challenging.
Additionally, low vitamin D levels may contribute to feelings of fatigue and low energy, which can further hinder weight loss efforts by reducing motivation for physical activity.

MYTH- 8 GLASSES OF WATER EVERYDAY IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY
highlighting the effects of drinking more water than your body requires:
1. Hyponatremia Risk: Consuming excessive water can dilute the sodium levels in your blood, leading to a condition called hyponatremia. This imbalance can be dangerous, causing symptoms like nausea, headache, confusion, and in severe cases, seizures or coma.
2. Electrolyte Imbalance: Drinking too much water can disrupt the balance of electrolytes in your body, including sodium, potassium, and chloride. This imbalance can affect nerve and muscle function, leading to weakness, cramping, and other complications.
3. Kidney Strain: Excessive water intake can put strain on your kidneys as they work to excrete the excess fluid. Over time, this can contribute to kidney problems and potentially damage kidney function.
4. Increased Urination: Drinking more water than your body needs can lead to frequent urination, which can disrupt your daily activities and sleep patterns.
5. Fluid Retention: Ironically, consuming excessive water can sometimes lead to fluid retention, as the body tries to compensate for the imbalance by holding onto water. This can cause swelling, particularly in the hands, feet, and ankles.
6. Digestive Issues: Drinking too much water, especially with meals, can dilute stomach acid and enzymes, potentially impairing digestion and nutrient absorption.
7. Impact on Exercise-Over-hydration during intense exercise can be particularly dangerous, as it can lead to exercise-associated hyponatremia (EAH), a potentially life-threatening condition common among endurance athletes.
8. Psychological Effects- Constantly monitoring water intake and feeling compelled to drink excessive amounts can lead to anxiety and obsessive behaviors related to hydration.
9.Individual Variability- It's important to recognize that the optimal amount of water intake varies from person to person based on factors like age, weight, activity level, climate

DOCTOR my kid is EATING SOIL!
When to contact your doctor is very important.

KID PSYCHOLOGY & SOIL EATING are related.
1. Stress and anxiety - yes kids can have stress and anxiety too. The things which are normal for us can be of utmost importance to them. Sleeping seperately, not getting what they want, sharing their toys.
2. Attention seeking - Kids know that if they will eat soil, everyone around will come running to them.so they start doing that oftenly.
REMEDY
- Spend quality time with them.
- Appreciating them whenever they do good things.
- Ignore them when they are eating soil. Avoid eye contact, keep your face expressions and even if you are just screaming inside your voice should be monotone.
As soon as they will not get any reaction from you they will lose interest and stop doing that.

NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES leads to SOIL EATING habit of KIDS
Mother's are aware how difficult it is to make your 3 yr old baby to eat spinach, bitter gourd, and Bottle gourds. . . So either kids are too fussy, they are very picky they end up having nutritional deficiencies ( mainly IRON & ZINC) .
Soil have good amount of IRON & ZINC so kids crave for it as brain is sending signals .
REMEDY:
Fullfill the daily requirement of iron and zinc and they will not crave to have soil again.
If you can't make your kids eat all the fruits and vegetables ( which is the best source) ; at least consult your doctor and put them in supplements which are easily available.

1. Keep all indoor plants outside for some days.
2. Don't leave the kids unsupervised.
