Giridarshan's Madhumakarand gad and Pratapgad trek on 23,24 Dec

These forts are in the vicinity of Mahabaleshwar. Both have dense forest around them. Makarand gad is an uncommon fort and has some beautiful views from the top. Pratapgad has an unparallel historical importance in Maratha empire.

We will start from Law college road Pune at 7 am on 23 Dec by private bus and travel to Hatlot village at the base of Madhumakarand gad till 12 pm. Climb up the fort till Ghonuspur village, have lunch and after some rest we will visit Makarand fort. While climbing down we will enjoy sunset on the way to Ghonuspur mandir. Stay at Mahadev mandir.
On 24 th, we will have breakfast and climb down to Hatlot village, travel to base of Pratapgad, visit important spots and have lunch. Trek will return to Pune till 9 pm.

You should bring lunch, 2 water bottles, a plate, a bowl, a glass, bedding, extra dress and a torch with you. Wear trekking or sports shoes and suncap.

*KUSUR PATHAR TREK* on *24 Sept*

We will start at 6.15am from Law college road by private bus on 24th Sept morning and travel to Jambhiwali village. After having breakfast, we will start our trek till 10.30 am. After a 1hr ascend from Jambhivali, we will enjoy the forest trail on Kusur plateau, have lunch enroute & descend to Kusur village till 4 pm. We will change clothes and travel back to Pune by 9 pm.

You should bring lunch, extra dress, windcheater, some dry snacks, 2 waterbottles. Wear trekking shoes. Avoid wearing shorts. Do not bring disposables.

*Giridarshan's Lingya Ghat Waterfall Trek on 20 August*

We will start at 6.30 am by private bus from Law college road pune and travel to Dhamanhol village, start our trek till 10.30 am, reach Lingya ghat waterfall, then walk for one and half hour to Kurdugad, have lunch, and come back via Nisnichi vat to Dhamanhol village, change , enjoy hot cup of tea and come back to Pune till 9 pm.

You should bring lunch, two waterbottles and extra dress. Wear trekking or sports shoes, avoid wearing shorts,

जंजाळा

वैशागड उर्फ जंजाळा उर्फ तलतमचा किल्ला या नावाचा विस्ताराने प्रचंड असलेला किल्ला आहे. या किल्ल्याचे वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे जंजाळा गावाच्या दिशेने हा भूदुर्ग आहे तर इतर तीन बाजूने हा किल्ला डोंगरी किल्ला आहे.
याच किल्ल्याच्या जवळ घटोत्कच लेणी आहेत ज्यांची निर्मिती
वाकटक काळात वराह देव याने पाचव्या शतकात खोदली .

वेताळवाडी
संभाजीनगर मधील सोयगाव तालुक्यात हा दुर्ग आहे. अतिशय भव्य आणि भक्कम तटबंदी, बुरुज आणि आजही शाबूत असलेल्या इमारती हे याचे वैशिष्ट्य. हळदा घाट चढताना एका बाजूच्या डोंगरात हा दिसून येतो. किल्ल्याचे दरवाजे प्रेक्षणीय आहेत.

सुतोंडा

याला नायगावचा किल्ला असेही नाव आहे. कन्नड मधील बनोटी या गावाजवळ हा नायगाव येथील किल्ला आहे. अजूनही काही दरवाजे आणि तटबंदीचे अवशेष शिल्लक आहेत. याच्या पोटात एक लेणी देखील आहे. दरवाजे, चोर दरवाजे आणि खूप मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आढळणारी पाण्याची टाकी हे याचे वैशिष्ट्य

Giridarshan's Trek for four forts, one cave and a temple near Chatrapati Sambhaji nagar on 13 to 15 August

We will start at 10 pm from law college road on 12 Aug and travel to base of Janjala fort.
On 13th we will visit Ghatotkach caves then Janjala fort. we will travel to Vetalwadi fort and spend some time. we will travel Banoti village for night stay.
On 14th we will visit Sutonda fort and then Antur fort. In the evening we will return to Banoti viooage for night stay.
On 15th Aug we will travel to Patnadevi via Chalisgaon to visit Chamunda Devi and start for our return journey.

You should bring bedding, 2 sets of extra clothing, a plate, a bowl, a glass, a torch and two waterbottles. Do not bring disposables, avoid wearing shorts.

We will start at 6.30 am from law college road Pune by private bus and reach Gutkhe village after breakfast. Start our trek till 10.30 am and enjoy Andharban forest, cross few streams and reach Pimpri village till evening. We will be back to Pune till 9 pm.

बुधवारचा ट्रेक
रोजच्या धकाधकीच्या, ट्रॅफिकच्या, प्रदूषणाच्या विळख्यातून सुटका व्हावी. जरा छान शांतता अनुभवावी, निसर्गचा सहवास मिळावा, पक्षांचे आणि वाऱ्याचे गाणे ऐकावे, ओढ्याचा खळखळाट अनुभवावा, धबधब्याखाली मस्त मनसोक्त भिजाव अस वाटून आपण आठवड्याच्या शेवटी ट्रेकला जातो. सोशल मीडिया वर पाहिलेले देवकुंड, अंधारबन, कातळधार अशा ट्रेकचे फोटो आठवतात, अगदी नाहीच तर लोहगड, राजगड, कळसूबाई असे फोटो आठवत आपण यातल्या एका ठिकाणी जातो. अजून पायथ्याच्या गावात जातोय तवर दिसणारी गर्दी बघून काळजाचा ठोका चुकतो आणि त्यावेळी मनात आलेला गर्दी असेल का? हा विचार चुकीचा ठरतो. फक्त उलट्या दिशेने, म्हणजे आपण कल्पना केलेली असते गर्दीची पण गर्दी तर त्याच्या काही पट असते. इतकी की चेंगरून आपला जीव जातो का काय असे वाटते. एकेका जागी अर्धा ते एक तास उभे राहावे लागते. मुंबई करांना विरार किंवा कर्जत लोकल अगदी गर्दीच्या वेळी कशी भरते तसे वाटते. पुणेकरांना अनंतचतुर्दशीला भर मिरवणुकीत, मनाच्या गणपतीचे दर्शन घेतोय असे वाटते. त्यापेक्षा बायको बरोबर खरेदीला तुळशी बागेत गेलो असतो तर बरं असं वाटून जातं.
जर तुम्हाला हे सगळ नको असेल तर दोन उपाय
एक म्हणजे रविवारी अगदी अप्रचलित ट्रेकला चला आणि नाही तर आठवड्याच्या मधल्या वारी ट्रेक करा. अप्रचलित ठिकाणी गेलो तरी ही वर सांगितलेली ठिकाणे कधी बघणार. म्हणून म्हणतो स्वतःसाठी एक दिवस मोकळा काढा चला, या बुधवारी म्हणजे 19 जुलैला जाऊ अंधारबन ट्रेकला.

भिंगरी धबधबा
आम्ही जेव्हा या धबधब्याला जाण्याचा मार्ग तयार करत तिथे पोहोचलो तेव्हा याचे एक वैशिष्ट्य लक्षात आले ते म्हणजे वाऱ्यामुळे हा धबधबा दोन्हीही बाजूला पन्नास ते शंभर फूट हलतो, याच्या या हळण्यामुळे किंवा फिरण्यामुळे आमच्या मनात ताबडतोब ' भिंगरी सारखा गरागरा फिरतोय ' असे आले आणि याचे नाव ' भिंगरी धबधबा ' असे पडले
एवढा मोठा असून पण याच्या खाली भिजण्याचा आनंद एकदम सुरक्षित पणे घेता येतो.

Zunjar machi fort Torna

A master piece in fort construction, a beautiful site to see. Zunjar machi on fort torna is normally covered in cloudes in rainy season. If you are lucky you can get this view. Look at the massive construction. No need to say its impossible to win over Torna fort from this side. Besides there is a small door or darwaja on this machi and a very difficult route comes up from Velha village through this machi.
