What are you grateful for in 2023?
This year as we all know have been a tough, rough year for most of us. Financial challenges, high cost of living, businesses shutting down, and so many things that only you can narrate
It also happen to me as well, but I choose to take it positive and make use of it. My businesses one way or another they were affected although still operating. As a Social Entrepreneur,I decided to take a journey to see what the gap(s) that were missing. Along my journey there were setbacks that i used to change them into my setups. There were threats that helped me to climb to my next steps. There was trials I used them to be my testimonies. Sometimes I was toxic by people, but I choose to embrace being who I was created to be. I have dropped opportunities that seems "Good to be True". And the beauty about it I feel No Regrets. Alot of doors were open at the same time alot of them were shut down. At times I felt like giving up. At times I felt like selling out my businesses, but every time I remember what my Purpose is I become Energized.
I begun to read books after books. Attending events after events. Listening to people who have been through my journey and made it through. I received message from prophetic message including my clients.
Today,am grateful for the journey I took to identify the gaps not only in my businesses but in me and across the globe and am looking forward to implementing each and every gap.
In 2005, I did a coarse in Journalism in one of the University in Kenya and went for my attachment in Vice President press office and after that went back to school to persue what I loved latter did I know that God was making everything to work together for my good. I remember I was so passionate about nail technology and I took a coarse in Cosmetology and graduated. I therefore joined hospitality industry in 2008 till 2018 when I ventured in self employment. During my serve in hospitality industry,I was honored to host ministers,Royal Families, Professionals in different sectors and I remember in 2015 when we hosted Lewa Marathon in Mara North I was assigned to host the Sports journalists from different media houses and Kenya Airways. It was a successful one I can say because until now we have built a relationship that's has grown big.
To cut my story short,I have worked as a Freelancer in the sector of Health Wellness and marketing as well.
Last year somebody told me that I suite well in Freelancing but what they didn't know I was using a gift that I have kept aside (social work). I visited the sick and served them in their homes through therapy, nursing, nutrition and others.
I didn't know God gave me 11 assignments (gifts) that I had kept inside of me and didn't use most of them. I took a journey of Personal Identity Audit (PIA)before take a journey of survey in different sectors.
Am grateful for this journey that I took this year. Knowing who I am and my purpose has open immense Opportunities for me. It have taken me to places I never thought to go. It has given me opportunities to dine with international delegates and am proud to say"it was Worth the sacrifice"". We venture into businesses without doing proper survey, analysis and so forth and along the way we fall apart. Thank you everyone who stood by me during this journey "those who Judge you , don't know you but those who don't judge you understands you". I know I have lost a lot of friends but that's Ok sometime it has to happen for a good coarse.
Happy Holidays and I wish you all a Healthier and Prosperous 2024.❤️🙏🇰🇪🌐
