West Bengal Surface #Transport (Paschim Banga Bhutal Paribahan) has introduced Ferry service from #Dakshineswar to #Belur and vice-versa from Maa Bhabotarini Jetty Ghat, which is also developed by this Ministry of West Bengal. Dakshineswar & Belur are the two most famous religious tourist spots near Kolkata and thousands of people used to visit these two places every day. Belur Ramakrishna Mission (Belur Math) and Dakshineswar Kali Mandir is well connected by Road through G.T. Road - Bally Bridge. But, the scenic beauty & cool breezy environment while traveling are only possible in Boat / Ferry service.
Connecting two religious tourist places for the tourists & local peoples by starting motorized ferry has been done by Paschim Banga Bhutal Paribahan Ministry. For the sake of people’s transportation West Bengal Surface Transport Ministry also constructed Maa Bhabatarini Jetty at Dakshineswar. Where is the Jetty / Ferry Ghat at Dakshineswar? The location of Dakshineswar Jetty / Ferry Ghat to go to Belur is just 2 minutes walk from Dakshineswar Kali Temple. Maa Bhabatarini Jetty Ghat is situated right at the bottom of Vivekananda Setu (Bally Bridge). People can go there using staircases from Bally Bridge or by taking Left Side Road before Dakshineswar Kali Temple Main Gate.
Where is the Belur Jetty? Belur Jetty where all boats arrives & departs is located 2-3 minutes away from Belur Ramakrishna Mission (Belur Math) as well. From Belur Jetty, people may also avail the Ferry Services to Bagbazaar, Howrah & other places.
Timings / Time Table of Dakshineswar to Belur Ferry Service from Maa Bhabotarini Jetty Ghat: - 8am, 9am, 10am , 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am, 12noon, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm. So, please keep in mind; the first Ferry to Belur from Dakshineswar is at 8am and the Last Ferry from Dakshineswar to Belur is at 7:30pm.
