I love being a mother. Just as I had imagined, my daughter has filled my life with love, laughter and magic. But then, I can’t deny that motherhood is a tiring job. Raising a kid takes a crazy amount of energy, time and patience. Most of the mothers I know feel the same way. We often talk about it and wish for a break. Then we all get so caught up in being the best moms we can be, we completely f

orget about those conversations. Besides mothers are rather susceptible to guilt, aren't we? I mean, we feel bad about even wanting a moment to ourselves. How is that fair? I believe I can be a much better mom if I honour my need to unwind. After all, I am more than a mom. Just like everyone else, I look forward to making new friends, exploring new places. or maybe some alone time. And denying myself these simple joys is not good for me or my family. I also have good reason to believe that if you are a mommy, you know exactly what I mean. That’s is why I invite you to join me on this journey called Mommycation. The idea is for us to claim our right to be ourselves once in a while, together. Imagine being on a holiday with people who understand your need to be on one, and you can relate to, even without knowing each other. It will be a perfect getaway, where you can get back in touch with yourself, completely guilt free! Or as I have started thinking of it…the places from where we will be coming back a bunch of happier moms :)
