🧱Tsminda Sameba is a triconch made of stone and marble, and covered with a bright golden dome that can be seen from almost anywhere in Tbilisi. The facades of the cathedral are skillfully decorated with arches and unique carvings, and the walls inside are painted (and still painting) with beautiful frescoes by the icon painter Amiran Goglidze. Sameba has 3 floors (2 of which are underground) and 3 entrances - the main three-nave western one, to which a grand staircase leads from the gate, as well as the northern and southern ones. The area of the temple exceeds 5000 square meters, which allows it to accommodate up to 15,000 people, and the height is 101 meters what makes it the third tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world. The cathedral is part of the entire complex, which also includes the residence of the Patriarch and a monastery, a school of theology and academy, a hotel and a complex of 9 chapels, 5 of which are located underground.
