Up in the Wayanad district of Kerala, close to the border with Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. There are three caves that date back as far as 6000 BCE. These caves called Edakkal Caves, the oldest human settlement on earth. Were used by humans long before any other known settlement existed. Making them the oldest signs of human habitation on earth....

Wayanad, in the state of Kerala, is one of the most beautiful regions in South India. Aside from its natural scenic beauty, Wayanad also offers great trekking opportunities and Chembra Peak stands out as one of the best treks in the region. It’s not difficult to reach Chembra Peak and you can spend about four hours hiking through forests and meadows to get there, but it does require quite a lot of physical effort from your end, especially since it’s at an elevation of about 2100 meters above sea level....
