Esfahak Village

The lovely village of Esfahak, is an oasis in the desert of Tabas. The old adobe village was destroyed due to an earthquake in 1978, but another village was founded near it. The remains of the half-destroyed village surrounded by soaring palm trees, is a tourist attraction, which definitely worth a visit.

Despite the hot days and cold nights of the desert, Esfahak enjoys milder weather compared to the other parts of Tabas, due to its closeness to the mountain. The drinking water for the village is sourced from the Kowsar well.

Arched doorways, domed roofs with skylights, and small windows are among the features of the old houses in Esfahak. There is also a historical bathhouse in the village which has been restored. Date and saffron are the main products in Esfahak.

Cal Jenny Valley "Valley of Elves"

What to wear when visiting Iran?

In reality, the dress code in Iran is more relaxed and open to interpretation.

It’s not unusual to see young women in the larger cities wearing figure-hugging manteaus (often tightly belted trench-coats), skinny jeans, high heels, and colorful scarves that have been arranged to offer plentiful glimpses of hair and neck.

But in the smaller cities, towns, and villages this rarely happens – the chador is common and those who don’t wear it are clad in an ensemble of shapeless coat, black pants, sensible shoes and a maqna’e (nun-like headscarf, or wimple). Colour schemes are uniformly dull.

As far as color is concerned in dress code in Iran, there is almost no restriction on it, you can wear pretty much any color you’d like and the fact is that when you are in Iran you may find yourself through a variety of designs and colors of headscarfs available everywhere from the markets to bazaars and the shops in the streets.

The headscarf is also a form of fashion item amongst women in Iran – square, rectangular, big, small, silk, cotton and whatever you name it.

In the south of , it is called , an open motorboat used for fishing.

As a soldier's weapon, their fishing boat was a source of honor and dignity to them, except that they took care of it altogether, as a family.

At the time of the boat clean-up, the captain first appeared on the deck, and the rest of the crew joined him after a few minutes.
They started to sing and clean, so inspiring!

It's like being in love, working together, caring for each other, gratitude and appreciating the boat which served them many years, returning to the sea, and floating.

These fishermen understood well that if they want to come over the hardships of the limitless sea, they must stand together with love and passion.
