Zard Limeh waterfall is located in the western regions of Ardal city, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari. This waterfall is located in an area called Dinaran and at the end of a green valley called Zard Limeh (Zarde Limeh). The distance between Ardal city and the center of the province, Shahrekord, is about 80 km and is known as one of the main areas for nomads to cross in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.

Everything you would expect from a nature destination can be found in this area. High mountains, a beautiful river, forests, lush pastures and, of course, a 6,000-year-old monument are gathered in this area.

The most famous type of vegetation in the foothills of the Zagros is its scattered oak forests. These forests are the second most valuable natural forest resources in Iran after the forests of the north of the country and are known as the breathing lungs of the Zagros. The extent of these forests in the vicinity of the Zard Limeh waterfall, has created a very attractive area from the point of view of nature tourism. Wild almond and spruce trees are another type of extensive vegetation in this area.

With an area of 24,640 square kilometers, Kermanshah province is the 17th largest province in Iran. Kermanshah province, which covers 1.5% of the country's area, is one of the western provinces that share a border with Iraq.

The current region of Kermanshah province has been called by different names in different historical periods. The current province of Kermanshah was one of the main residential centers during the Medes era. The name of this region, which was larger than the current borders of the province, was still the state of Medes during the Achaemenid, Ashkanian and Sassanian periods. In post-Islamic sources, for several centuries, this region was referred to as "Mah", which is a modified form of the word Mad. Since the Seljuk era, the entire western region of Iran was called the state of Kurdistan, and the city of Kermanshah was one of its cities. The term Kermanshah was only applied to the city of Kermanshah until around the time when the Safavids came to power, but the whole region was called Kurdistan. However, parallel to the Safavid rule, the name of Kermanshah has been extended to all the neighboring areas of the city. During the first Pahlavi era and on January 19, 1316, the Law of Country Divisions was amended and the Kermanshah region including the cities of Shahabad, Kermanshah, Ilam, Sanandaj, Salas (Malair, Nahavand and Toisarkan) and Hamadan as one of the 10 provinces of Iran, with the title " It was named the fifth province. With the separation of other provinces, the way of naming the provinces also changed and the name of Kermanshah was officially applied to the entire province.

One of the most important tourist attractions in the field of nature tourism are the islands surrounded by the seas. Especially islands that are devoid of human presence and have a pristine nature. There are many islands in the Persian Gulf, each with its own charm and beauty. Some of these islands are like Qeshm, are large. But there are many small islands in the Persian Gulf, most of which are uninhabited.

One of these spectacular and pristine islands; It is a small island in the west of Hormozgan province and near the port of Moqam, which is known as Maroo Island among nature lovers. Of course, the name of Shidvar Island is also mentioned in books and documents. It is said that the name Maroo was chosen because of the large number of snakes on the island (in Persian Mar means snake), which is less common today.

The coast of this island in most places has white sand with coarse grains, which is a feature of this island and can be found similar to less on an island. In some places, a rocky beach can be seen. But in all parts of the coast, the transparency and cleanliness of the water is well visible, so that with the distance from the shore and the deepening of the water, this transparency still exists for a long time.

Throughout history, kings have sought to use art to display and perpetuate their glory not only for their people but also for the future. One of the ways to show the power and greatness of kings was to carve on rocks, mountains and create reliefs of important events of the time. They asked the artists to carve events such as the coronation, the victory over the enemies on the top of the mountain and on the rock so that anyone passing by could see it.
In the past, Taq Bostan was the name of a village 9 km from Kermanshah. With the passage of time and urban development, this village was located in the city, which is currently located in the northeast of Kermanshah. This collection of motifs is located on the slopes of a mountain and next to a lake known as Tagh Bostan Lake. In the past, this place, with its pleasant climate and nature, was a place for recreation and hunting of Sassanid kings, and carved maps also show this.

Tourists, historians and geographers of the Islamic period have mentioned this area with different names. Ibn Faqih and Ibn Rasta have called this place "Shabdiz", Yaqut Hamavi has called it "Qasr Shirin", Hamdollah Mostofi has called it "Taq-e Bastam" and some others have called it "Taq-e Bahastoon", "Taq-e Bistoon" and "Takht-e Bostan". The locals also know this area as "Taq Wasan" and "Taq Busan".

Today, this embossed collection is also known as Taq-e Bostan, which is pronounced in the Kermanshah or Kurdish dialect, "Taq Wa San". In fact, "Taq" means "arch" and "Wa" means "from" and "san" means "stone". Therefore, Taq Wa San means an arch made of stone.
