also known as Burj Khalifa Yazid, located in Shahr-e Rey, in province is one of the ancient monuments remained from 12th Century, precisely it is about 900 years old. The tower belongs to Seljuk dynasty during the ruler Toghrolbeik seljuk. There are some discrepancies between historians and experts if it a or not. There are no signs of tomb neither inside nor outside of the tower but some considers it as burial place of Toghrolbeik Seljuk who died in Rey in 1063. Some others consider this tower as the burial place of Khalil Sultan, the son of Timur Lang and his wife Shadalmolk in the 15th century.
This tower is 20 meters tall and made of brick and capped by a conical dome with some unique features. Read more: https://zinoexpedition.com/tehran/

Yalda Night or Chelle Night locally called Shab-e Yalda or Shab-e Chelleh is one of the most ancient Iranian events celebrated on the longest night of the year. Chelle Night is the last night of the last month of autumn 30th Azar which is coincides with 20th or 21st of December (±1) according to Gregorian calendar. In fact, you experience the shortest day and the longest night in 24 hours. At this night, Iranian families gather together and meet each other to celebrate the winter solstice (beginning of winter) by reading poems of the great Iranian poets specifically poems of Hafez, Ferdowsi, Sa’adi, Khayyam, Molavi and some others until midnight. In each house, you will find a decorated table serving nuts, seeds and red fruits like watermelon, pomegranate, medlar and persimmon (also called Sharon fruit). The red color of these fruits symbolizes the glow of life and the golden hours of dawn.
Dehkhoda in his dictionary expresses about Yalda as follows: "The word is Syriac Arabic and means birthday. Because the Night adapted with Christmas and the nativity of Messiah. Hence, we have named ... Yalda night of the winter and autumn. The night is long that by the year and in the night or close to the sun that will deliver Capricorn and the ancients assumed it hard to get and inauspicious. In most parts of Iran in celebration of this night is done. "(Dehkhoda, 1966, Volume 50, p 262) (adapted from Birth of the Sun (Yalda Night) Tooran Razmjoo)
According to researchers, Yalda is originally the celebration of the advent of the Mithra (Mehr [Sun]) and it is originated from Zoroastrian tradition. (Wikipedia)
Many countries in the world celebrate Yalda night as well, such as Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. -poems

The Persian Garden includes nine gardens in as many provinces. They exemplify the diversity of Persian garden designs that evolved and adapted to different climate conditions while retaining principles that have their roots in the times of Cyrus the Great, 6th century BC. Always divided into four sectors, with water playing an important role for both irrigation and ornamentation, the Persian garden was conceived to symbolize Eden and the four Zoroastrian elements of sky, earth, water and plants. These gardens, dating back to different periods since the 6th century BC, also feature buildings, pavilions and walls, as well as sophisticated irrigation systems. They have influenced the art of garden design as far as India and Spain. Adapted from UNESCO site: https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1372/
