Who is ready for a picnic in Iceland?
Skógafoss waterfall, one of Icelands biggest waterfalls. 60m high and 25m wide, this majestic waterfall is one of the must see places which we always reccommend.
The spray from the waterfall makes an almost consistent double rainbow. According to legend, the first viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. The legend continues that locals found the chest years later, but were only able to grasp the ring on the side of the chest before it disappeared. The ring is now on display in the small village next to it.

What is your top winter activity in Iceland?
Iceland's first and main export was fish. With a vast fishing territory, Iceland caters to the demand of many european countries for haddock, cod, mackrel and salmon.
Countless tiny fishing villages are scattered around the coast, each with its own history and soul.
Over the last decade, Iceland's economy found a new income stream. Its nature, culture and food became a magnet for travellers from all over the world. And within a few years, tourism became its largest industry. A country of 350.000 people now welcoming almost 2 million guests every year.
In our opinion, a much more rewarding industry to be a part of. We look forward to welcoming each and every one of you.

You have had a full day in Icelandic nature. You have made dhikr for the whole month because you have not stopped saying subhanAllah at all the incredible sight the whole day. And just as the day is about to end. Your jaw drops one more time, but this time, there are no words.

As the days get longer we feel spring coming closer and closer. We now get ready to say good bye to the majestic northern lights and welcome the warm embrace of the midnight sun.

Today is the Icelandic national day, the day where we celebrate the birthday of Jón Sigurðsson.
Jón was the leader of the 19th century Icelandic independence movement.
Although sadly he had passed away in 1944 when Iceland formally gained freedom from their Danish ruler. He is considered our first president, the president even before we were allowed one.
Today all across the country towns celebrate with concerts, balloons, facepaint, hopping castles, food trucks and art shows.
