Our nine day ring road trip was a fun adventure with an amazing group of women. Let us show you the highlights and explain what you see in all photos:

1-2. Day two we did the Golden circle and visited Þingvellir, Dettifoss, Geysir and many more. (Day one we went out for dinner to get to know each other and we didn’t take any photos).

3-6. Day three we drove from Hella to Skaftafell and saw waterfalls, walked on a glacier and welcomed the full moon at Fjaðrárgljúfur (try to say that 3x times in a row) 😂

7-8. Day four we went to see an ice cave! 🧊

9-10. Day five the weather gods were not on our side. We had a loootttt of rain. But when you are flexible you’ll just find new fun things to see inside. Like this stone museum!

11-15 Day six we drove through north east Iceland and saw many different areas like Hverir, Dimmuborgir, Goðafoss and Akureyri. And as a little extra we got to pet horses and saw the northern lights 💚

16-17. Day 7 we hopped on a boat and saw several humpback whales in amazing weather 🐋

18-20 Day 8 we started in a snowy Bifröst and drove through Snæfellsnes. This peninsula is always worth a visit.

Day 9 was spend relaxing in the Blue lagoon after which most ladies went to the airport to catch their flights home.

We did it! The first hike in the east, Víknaslóðir hike was a great success👏🏻🌞
5 days🌱Total 69 km/41,4 miles🌱Accent total 3591 meters🌱Time 37 hours and 25 minutes🌱
This hike is perfect for those who have already done the Laugavegur trail with us, but want to try a different trek next time👌🏻

What started as a trial of three tours in 2021, quickly grew into a sought-after experience for women worldwide.
Saga Líf Friðriksdóttir, founder of the touring agency Viking Women, noticed the absence of women-only tours in Iceland and decided to create her own. She is gradually building a community for female travellers, helping them push their boundaries.
Although Viking Women was founded in 2021, Saga has been working as a tour guide in Iceland since 2013 and has from an early age been passionate about hiking, travelling and connecting with nature.
Viking Women aims to empower women through immersive travel experiences while providing the opportunity for self-transformation and connection with others.
Viking Women offers female-led excursions throughout Iceland and offers everything from classic roadtrips to thrilling hikes on scenic trails.

Fyrsta ganga VAGA hópsins annað kvöld er á Esjuna og er enn hægt að slást með í för! Það er mjög góð spá út vikuna og verður smá sumarfílingur annað kvöld og á laugardag þegar við förum upp á Búrfell í Grímsnesi.
