According to the old Norse calendar, Þorri month is soon coming to an end, and Góa is coming up! Over the past four weekends, celebrations have been in full swing, with plenty of traditional delicacies enjoyed along the way. A typical Þorrablót menu might include ram testicles cured in lactic acid, flamed lamb heads, head cheese, fermented shark, dried haddock, smoked lamb, liver sausage, sheep’s loins wrapped in cured meat, and whale blubber pickled in sour milk. Tempting, isn’t it?
