The Flame mountain.
This is the direct translation of this beautiful peak near Kulusuk called Iparngaai. It comes from the old days when the fire to cook and heat up the space of each family would came from burning seal fat, making the shape of a wide flame 🔥.

Do you want to learn the skills needed to become a glacier guide in Iceland?
Join our 3 days course of Glacier guiding skills.
You will learn the rope skills, the understanding of glaciers and use of the gear to either be a safer traveller with friends or gaining enough knowledge to then take Hard Ice 1, the first official exam in Iceland to become a glacier guide.

I'm proud to offer this remote expedition in Greenland from 5th August. it is a mountaineering expedition exploring 3 different locations but carrying all gear and food needed along the way like a real explorer, sleeping in huts or camping in tents, summiting peaks with no name and traverse glaciers.

Every summer we offer a variety of activities beside the glacier day-trips doing ice caving and ice climbing trips.
Here are two iconic multi-day trips:
- Alpine Course is something we offer once per summer and focus its learnings on glacier travel, short roping and short pitching on rocky summits over 8 days course.
- If you want to join our most remote and wild trip then join our 11 days expedition. Its challenging and not for beginners. We will carry backpacks with all we need for approx 4 days at the time and explore 3 locations. Moving by boat and foot to climb un-named peaks, camp under the northern lights and not see anyone for 11 days except your team members of maximum 4 participants.

- We are counting how many visitors we bring because we are the only operators of glacier day trips in East Greenland.

Collecting water straight from the source!
When we plan our expeditions we need to make sure we will have a source of water everywhere we go. Usually we find streams, glacier ice or snow to melt. In this case the river was coming straight from under the glacier! Refreshing 💧

Bubbles of air as old as 2 million years!
Scientists have discovered that ice of Greenland is up to 2 millions years old and inside our cave as we are at the bottom of the glacier you look right up at the oldest ice! Incredible feeling to look into those bubbles and features…
