Si trova in un quartiere molto ben fornito (banca, posta, bar, supermercati, pizzeria, tabaccaio,farmacia, panificio) ed è situato in una posizione comoda per raggiungere facilmente Matera distante solo 18km e Gravina in Puglia 11 Km. Ottimo punto di partenza per raggiungere Bari 45 km, Alberobello 65 km, Castel del Monte 59, Polignano a mare 83. Siete in un quartiere centrale ma tranquillo, di notte potete fare sonni tranquilli perché lontano da locali notturni chiassosi, l'ideale per ricaricarsi ed iniziare una nuova giornata alla scoperta della Murgia. E' possibile posteggiare l'auto gratuitamente nei pressi dell'alloggio. La città di Altamura è tutta da scoprire. Nonostante l'interesse turistico aumenta sempre più negli ultimi anni, la città conserva ancora la genuinità delle piccole botteghe di artigiani, un mercato della frutta assai vivace, un'allegria nelle stradine e nei claustri del centro storico. Amerete la città non solo con gli occhi ma soprattutto con la gola....In fin dei conti siamo l'unica città al mondo che in soli 6 mesi è riuscita a mandare via il gigante McDonald. Our B&B is a fine apartment at the 1°floor of a detached house. It is only 5 minutes walking from the heart of the old city town and the most important attractions (Cathedral, Museum, Claustri that are typical houses, Theatre, old wood burning oven). The apartment is in a good area of the city where you can find, Bank, Post Office, Minimarket, Pizzeria, To***co shop, Bar, Pharmacy, Bakery). It is situated in a good position to reach easily Matera 18km, Gravina 11km. You are in a central quarter but quiet, you can sleep soundly because is far from noisy bars. This is perfect to recharge yourself for a new adventure in the National Park of Alta Murgia. Free parking near the house. Altamura is a nice place to visit. Rich in history and food culture, the city is becoming an interesting point of departure to explore all the area around call MURGIA and GRAVINE. It is no pervaded by a mass tourism and for this reason you still have the chance to speak directly with the artisans in their own workshop, to buy good fruits at the best price possible in a funny street-market in Santa Teresa Square, you can admire the claustri with the ladies putting clothes outside their balcony in the narrow streets of the old town or preparing the famous orecchiette, a particular handmade pasta of Puglia. It will be impossible for you to resist to the wonderful smells of the bread cooked in the little wood burning ovens in the old town….. Altamura is a special place, the only place in the world where after only 6 months the Giant McDonald closed his restaurant because ……is what you will be surprised to discover at your arrive in Altamura.
