It's been a busy year, but as we prepare for the holiday season, we prefer to focus on the positives. It was a year when many of us were forced to rethink our plans and expectations, as we recalibrated our priorities and thanked for the things we sometimes take for granted: good friends, a brisk walk, a favorite song, a plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce dressed with new olive oil, a good glass of wine in company, dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves.
In Cabbiavoli it was a year that taught us to treasure even more the bond we have with our territory, not to mention the privilege, and the responsibility, of inheriting and carrying on an estate that is our family villa, and it has become a living tribute to the style, taste and passions of many generations.
But this year of reflection also led us to think of family in a broader sense - being grateful to the extended family of our staff, most of these locals, and to the global family made up of those who have visited us over the years, wrote us during this difficult period and found that some rope was struck in them by our little refuge ...
Cabbiavoli is, we like to think, not just an estate of bricks and clay, but a hub of memories and emotions. In this spirit, we hope that you will come back to visit us soon, and in the meantime we wish you a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season.
