La Velarca, the houseboat designed by the Milanese architectural firm BBPR (Gian Luigi Banfi, Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressutti, and Ernesto Nathan Rogers) in 1959, has returned to its original mooring in Ossuccio, on Lake Como, opposite Isola Comacina, after extensive restoration.
Not just a simple houseboat, but a small masterpiece of modern architecture, created by the same architects who designed the Torre Velasca, from which the name “Velarca” deliberately draws inspiration.
This unique site is one of the properties carefully restored by FAI (the Italian National Trust) and opened to the public, allowing everyone to discover and cherish it.
