In Tuscany, in the province of Florence and a few kilometres from the world famous town of San Gimignano, whose historic centre in 1990, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished as we tried to maintain it’s typical Tuscany style when we completely renovated it in 2003 , having been our family summer holiday home since. ts of an original farmhouse of the early 1900’s which measures a total area of approximately 260 square metres and is spread over two levels. Gambassi Terme farmhouse can accommodate 10+ people, with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor –one double and one twin, and 2 more bedrooms upstairs- both double. All rooms have superb views of the surrounding hills of Chianti’s famous district. The living room has a double sofa, TV and a wood burning fireplace ; it is advisable not to leave small children unsupervised near the fireplace as we don’t have any fencing installed yet. The spacious dining room can seat up to 12 people and the farmhouse style kitchen/breakfast room has another small table to seat 6 people. There is a further tranquil family room upstairs and another small kitchen, fully equipped as well; it is perfect for large families or groups of friends who prefer to cook different kind of food without interfering with the others. Completing the house is a barn conversion that has also been completely renovated, maintaining it’s specific Tuscany style, and comprises a large living room with sofa bed, TV and wood burning fireplace; fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower over bath; a magnificent Loft with double bedroom. Gambassi Terme farmhouse is set in 2 hectares of private land, over 3 acres of which are an idyllic park of woodland, an olive grove and a fruit orchard. Enjoy the view of the surrounding hills sipping a drink in our 12x5.5m Panoramic Swimming Pool. You can have alfresco dining and barbeques outside in our outdoor living area, complete with two dining tables that seats twelve, all of this located in a particularly beautiful private panoramic view. Our beautiful farmhouse is ideal for those who wish to relax as a true Tuscan it the heart of Chianti and its typical green hills with vineyards and it’s perfect for lovers of tranquillity and privacy, not to mention the proximity to important towns such as San Gimignano, Volterra, Florence and Siena. The farmhouse can be reached by the Florence-Pisa-Livorno motorway where you leave the Ponte and Elsa exit and then continue towards Volterra. After entering the town of Gambassi Terme, take the country road for about 1 km and there you will find the farmhouse. Florence is only about 60 km away, Siena 40 km and Rome about 270 km. Please note that we rent the farmhouse as a whole and not separate.
