Fisia Italimpianti, (Salini Impregilo Group), announces that its joint-venture is set to design and build a water desalination plant in Oman.
With more than 90 years of experience, Fisia Italimpiant is a global leader in water desalination and treatment plants with a strong presence in the Middle East.
Fisia Italimpianti and its JV partner Abengoa won the project from ACWA Power, Veolia and Dhofar International for Investment and Development Co SOAG to build the plant using reverse osmosis technology to deliver about 113,500 cubic metres of water a day, supplying potable water to the city of Salalah in the southwest of Oman where water is scarce given the desert climate. Fisia Italimpianti has a 51% stake in the JV.
The project is Fisia Italimpiant’s first in Oman but second with ACWA Power, strengthening the JV’s rapport with one of the most competitive investors in the water and energy sectors. The first contract was won in April to build a $255-million desalination plant in Saudi Arabia that will produce 250,000 cubic metres per day of potable water for more than one million people in Mecca, Jeddah and Taif.
Fisia Italimpianti is one of the most competitive Main Contractor / EPC Contractor on the global market. With all the water desalination plants it has built, it has become responsible for an installed production capacity equal to 925 imperial gallons per day (MIGD) or 4.2 million cubic metres per day, 350,000 of which with reverse osmosis technology.
Having built plants that supply potable water to a combined total of more than 20 million people, especially in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, Fisia Italimpianti is expanding in north Africa and Latin America.

Fisia Italimpianti, società del Gruppo Salini Impregilo, si aggiudica in joint venture un progetto per la realizzazione chiavi in mano di un impianto di dissalazione in Oman, del valore di 100 milioni di dollari. Fisia Italimpianti, con competenze tecniche e gestionali sviluppate in più di 90 anni di attività, è leader mondiale nella progettazione e realizzazione di impianti per la Dissalazione e il Trattamento delle Acque, con una forte presenza in Medio Oriente.
L’opera è stata assegnata da ACWA Power, Veolia e Dhofar International for Investment and Development Co SOAG. Fisia Italimpianti, che detiene il 51% della JV con la società Abengoa, realizzerà un impianto di dissalazione a osmosi inversa (OI) da 113.500 mc/g che fornirà acqua potabile alla città di Salalah, sulla sponda sud-occidentale dell'Oman, caratterizzata da scarsità d’acqua a causa del clima desertico.
L’impianto di Salalah, che segna l’ingresso in Oman per Fisia Italimpianti, rappresenta il secondo progetto assegnato da ACWA Power, rafforzando quindi la relazione della JV con uno dei maggiori investitori internazionali nei settori acqua ed energia. Il primo contratto, vinto ad aprile 2017, prevede la realizzazione dell’impianto di dissalazione di Shoaiba in Arabia Saudita, del valore di 255 milioni di dollari, in grado di produrre 250.000 m3/g e di fornire acqua potabile a oltre un milione di abitanti delle città di La Mecca, Jeddah e Taif.
Fisia Italimpianti è uno dei più competitivi Main Contractor / EPC Contractor nel mercato mondiale: nella costruzione di impianti di dissalazione, la società ha installato una capacità produttiva pari a 925 MIGD (circa 4.200.000 m3/g), di cui più di 350.000 mc/g prodotti con tecnologia ad osmosi inversa.

FISIA ITALIMPIANTI JV IN $255M SAUDI ARABIA DEAL

Fisia Italimpianti (Salini Impregilo Group) unit and the Spanish joint-venture partner, Abengoa, are set to design and build a water desalination plant in Saudi Arabia in a $255 million agreement with ACWA Power.
Located in the Shuaiba area on the western coast of Saudi Arabia, the plant will use reverse osmosis technology to deliver up to 250,000 cubic metres of water per day, supplying potable water to more than one million residents in the cities of Mecca, Jeddah and Taif.
In a joint-venture in which it holds 50%, Fisia Italimpianti has signed a Limited Notice To Proceed (LNTP) with ACWA Power to start the preparatory work. The JV expects the signing of a Full Notice To Proceed (FNTP) by July 27, 2017 and to hand over the plant by May 2019.
This new order confirms Fisia Italimpianti as one of the world’s leading builders of large desalination plants, with more than 4 million cubic metres per day of installed capacity and one of the few able to deploy the two prevailing technologies used in the sector: thermal and reverse osmosis.

Fisia Italimpianti (Gruppo Salini Impregilo) si è aggiudicata in joint venture con la società sp****la Abengoa il contratto per la progettazione e realizzazione di un impianto di dissalazione in Arabia Saudita, del valore di 255 milioni di dollari, commissionato da ACWA Power.
Situato nell’area di Shoaiba sulla costa occidentale del Paese, l’impianto utilizzerà la tecnologia dell'osmosi inversa e produrrà 250.000 mc/g, fornendo acqua potabile ad oltre un milione di abitanti delle città di La Mecca, Jeddah e Taif.
In joint venture al 50%, Fisia Italimpianti ha firmato una Limited Notice To Proceed (LNTP) per l’inizio dei lavori preliminari. La JV prevede la firma della Full Notice To Proceed (FNTP) entro il 27 luglio 2017, con termine dei lavori entro maggio 2019.

L’Arabia Saudita ha più petrolio che acqua potabile, e così Salini Impregilo, tramite la controllata Fisia Italimpianti, si è aggiudicata (in joint-venture con una società sp****la) il contratto per progettare e realizzare in quel Paese un impianto di dissalazione dell’acqua di mare del valore di 255 milioni di dollari.


Situato nell’ area di Shoaiba sulla costa occidentale del Paese, l’impianto utilizzerà la tecnologia dell’osmosi inversa e produrrà 250.000 metri cubi al giorno, fornendo acqua potabile a oltre un milione di abitanti nella zona di La Mecca, Gedda e Taif. Il ternime dei lavori è atteso nel maggio 2017.

FISIA ITALIMPIANTI JV WINS €83.9 M CONTRACT IN TURKEY

Fisia Italimpianti has won a €83.9 million contract in Turkey to modernise and expand a water treatment plant in Atakoy. The project, awarded by municipal company Istanbul Su ve Kanalizasyon Idaresi (ISKI), will be done by the Fisia Alkatas joint-venture, whose lead partner is Fisia.
Under the terms of the EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contract, the joint-venture will modernise an existing plant to have it treat 360,000 cubic metres of waste water per day. They will also build a new section for the plant to treat another 240,000 cubic metres per day and 20,000 cubic metres per day using a membrane system MBR. The work is to be completed in 24 months.
The new contract allows Fisia Italimpianti, a world leader in desalination and water treatment plants, to develop its market position and strengthen its role in environmental sustainability.

FISIA ITALIMPIANTI SI AGGIUDICA IN CONSORZIO UN CONTRATTO IN TURCHIA DAL VALORE DI 83,9 ML DI EURO

Fisia Italimpianti si è aggiudicata un contratto del valore di € 83.900.000 in Turchia per l’adeguamento dell’impianto di depurazione esistente di Atakoy e per la realizzazione di una nuova sezione dell’impianto. Il progetto, assegnato dalla società comunale Istanbul Su ve Kanalyzasyon Idaresi (ISKI), sarà realizzato dal consorzio Fisia Alkatas, del quale è capofila.

TAKREER CARBON BLACK AND DELAYED COKER PROJECT

Fisia Italimpianti is glad to announce, for the “CARBON BLACK AND DELAYED COKER PROJECT”, the realization and delivery in Ruwais (Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.) of two desalination units with MSF process technology for a total capacity of 3,7 MIGD (16.800 m3/d).
Fisia Italimpianti delivered two turnkey distillers to the Client Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd. (Korea); the final Client of the Project is Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER).

Fisia Italimpianti annuncia che, nell’ambito del “CARBON BLACK E DELAYED COKER PROJECT”, ha realizzato e consegnato a Ruwais (Abu Dhabi – U.A.E.) due unità di dissalazione con tecnologia MSF per una capacità complessiva pari a 3,7 MIGD (16.800 m3/giorno).
Fisia Italimpianti ha consegnato i due evaporatori “chiavi in mano” al Committente Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd. (Corea); il Cliente finale del Progetto è Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER).

FISIA ITALIMPIANTI SIGN THE CONTRACT FOR THE SUPPLY OF A NEW DESALINATION PLANT IN ABU DHABI

Genova. Fisia Italimpianti announces the awarding of the contract for the rehabilitation of a desalination plant, it once realized in 2002, based on Multi-Stage Flash technology, of whom the Italian company is global leader. The contract states also that Fisia is in charge of the design, procurement and commissioning of a brand-new re-mineralisation plant. The desalination plant is part of Mirfa IWPP, a Public-Private Partnership investment, that will be built at a capital cost of approximately USD 1.5 billion, and will have a final potential of 1,6GW of electric power and a desalination capacity of 52,5 MIGD ((238,665 m3/day), and is realized in Al Mirfa, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

FISIA ITALIMPIANTI SI AGGIUDICA UN CONTRATTO AD ABU-DHABI

Genova. Fisia Italimpianti si è aggiudicata il contratto con Hyundai Engineering and Construction per il ricondizionamento di un impianto di dissalazione, Multi-Stage Flash, tecnologia di cui è leader mondiale, che la società aveva realizzato nel 2002. Il contratto prevede altresì le prestazioni relative alla progettazione, fornitura e messa in servizio di un nuovo impianto di re-mineralizzazione. Entrambi i progetti fanno parte del Mirfa IWPP, un investimento in partnership pubblico-privata del valore complessivo di oltre 1,5 Miliardi di Dollari, che prevede, una volta ultimato, 1,6 GW di potenza elettrica installata e una capacità di dissalazione di 52.5 MIGD (238,665 m3/giorno), nel sito di Al Mirfa, Abu Dhabi, Emirati Arabi Uniti.

Mr. Nikolay Voutchkov, one of the most internationally recognized expert in the field of desalination with membrane application technology, will be present in Fisia Italimpianti’s Genoa headquarters from 29th to 31st October 2014, to talk with our technical staff about issues and developments related to Reverse Osmosis pretreatments.

His extensive experience in supporting the environmental review, development, financing and implementation of large desalination projects worldwide, along with his many publications and his current position as President of Water Globe Consulting (WGC), established him as a major expert in this field.
