🇮🇹 Al giorno d’oggi numerose imbarcazioni da regata come, per esempio, il 420, il 49er, il Flying Dutchman o il Tornado, fanno affidamento sul trapezio per ottenere le massime prestazioni.
Ma quando è stato inventato questo prezioso strumento?🧐
Nel 1936, Peter Scott e John Winter, ispirati dall’idea di Beecher Moore di utilizzare una cima fissata all’attacco delle sartie sul suo Thames Class-A, decisero di creare un’imbracatura che si potesse fissare e sganciare facilmente da un cavo in acciaio per sostenere il prodiere.
L’idea venne sviluppata in gran segreto assieme ad altri due regatanti della stessa classe, Charles Currey e Uffa Fox e la prima persona a provare questa invenzione fu la moglie di Currey, Bobby, prodiera a bordo del 12m Stormcock.

But when was this valuable tool invented?🧐
In 1936, Peter Scott and John Winter, inspired by Beecher Moore's idea of using a line attached to the rigging attachment on his Thames Class-A, decided to create a harness that could be easily attached and detached from a steel cable to support the bowman.

🇮🇹La passerella è un componente fondamentale su ogni imbarcazione, ma la sua manutenzione viene spesso trascurata🛠️
Prima dell’inizio di ogni stagione, infatti, è importante controllare i pistoni e le tubazioni idrauliche per assicurarsi che non ci siano perdite o segni di usura.
Un altro aspetto da considerare è la sostituzione periodica del fluido idraulico, da effettuare ogni 5/7 anni, per mantenere il sistema efficiente. Anche i sensori e l’elettronica di controllo richiedono attenzione: pulite i contatti e verificate che i collegamenti siano stabili e senza ossido.
Infine, non dimenticate di ispezionare la parte meccanica della passerella, mantenendola sempre pulita e libera da corrosione.
