Today is the day we officially close our 2024 season.

All the outdoor and pool furniture is packed away, umbrella canopies have been washed swimming pool closed and Winter tyres are being fitted this afternoon.

In reality, it's Autumn but you wouldn't know it. Here we are enjoying some time out in the sun and it's 15 November! Crazy!

'We were able to spend 4 wonderful days in this enchanting accommodation. Genevieve and Tim are very warm and friendly hosts; always there when you need them, but never intrusive. We enjoyed the house, the garden and the pool in peace and quiet, but we also found it very nice that the two of them enjoyed a good glass of red wine with us at our invitation. The two are well prepared for restaurant, winery, shopping and all other tips and are happy to provide information. We thank you very much for the great time we were able to enjoy! Hopefully see you again soon!'

So after 4 days of wet weather the sky turned blue and the Alps showed off their new dusting of snow.

Moon still up as I return from the morning walk with the dog. Only half an hour before the sun appears. Another glorious winter day ahead clear skies and sunshine.

Barolo, our big house, has had all the shutters refinished!
It was a huuuge job done by Tim.
Paco, bottom left hand step, fully approves of our colour choice, R019 renamed 'Barbera' after one of our favorites.
We can't wait to see it with all the window boxes painted and full of Spring flowers.

Well you know it's winter when you're driving home early evening and fluffy drops are falling. The next morning out and about walking the dog and there's a thin white dusting over the vines and ground.

Last Tuesday the weather changed. The temperatures suddenly dropped which was a welcome relief after such a very long, hot Summer. This morning we woke to rain and its lovely!
