Ciao tutti! As Christmas Eve (called La Vigilia di Natale in Italy) nears, I wanted to share a few of the delicious classic Neapolitan fish & seafood recipes that are staples on traditional tables for the evening feast meal celebrated in households in Naples and the Campania region (otherwise known as the "Feast of the Seven Fishes). This recipe for Marinated Fresh Anchovies is fabulous, and a much-appreciated addition to the delicious medley of dishes served as a part of the antipasto course here. Warming up on this cold Autumn day at Lenzi Tartufi , a charming Truffle Bar in the heart of that features the prized Irpinian Truffles from the Avellino area of the Campania region 😋🍂🇮🇹 Since it's truffle and porcini mushroom season in Italy you'll find them featured on many restaurant menus right now. It sure is a delicious time of year. Must say the mix of truffle bruschette was a real treat today, and the bowl of homemade tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffles we shared was one of the tastiest we've had all season. Mmm, so good! The Christmas tree went up today too! 🌟☃️ #

No holding back at A'Marenna - Sorrento bakery & bistrot , the sandwiches are that good. The owners and dynamic duo, Anna & Iride, opened this bustling little shop only a few years back and it's already known to be the best sandwich shop in town. And so much fun too! We love it here! The artisinal sandwiches, which are made with either 'panuozzi' or 'ciabatta' bread, are piled high with mouth-wateringly delicious combinations of local ingredients - with surprising artistic touches that work so perfectly together you can't help but craving more! Must-try when visiting 🇮🇹 .

In the heart of Nerano on the Amalfi Coast, I had the most delightful dining experience at Taverna del Capitano 's new, Casa Caputo. Here they unveiled for their patrons a more casual and informal menu that tells a tale of the local food and traditions. The talented Chef Alfonso Caputo cooks up the classic family recipes, and thrills with his brilliant inspired interpretations and techniques - from fried stuffed zucchini blossoms and the Spaghetti all Nerano that the entire table commented were the best they've ever tasted to the phenomenal assortment of homemade sorbets. Heavenly experience ✨️😋🇮🇹

Still convinced the magical hands of Chef Alfonso Caputo of Taverna del Capitano makes one of the best "Spaghetti alla Nerano "in the entire town - even though the renditions made in other restaurants in are ridiculously good as well 😋 This pasta dish is famous for a good reason (You can find the recipe on my website)

Stopped by Ristorante O Parrucchiano Sorrento la Favorita, 1868, one of the oldest restaurants in Sorrento and a member of the prestigious “Historical Places of Italy” (Locali Storici di Italia) - for a light lunch today. Surrounded by a beautiful garden and lemon orchard, and with family treasures of historical significance typical of the Sorrento Peninsula every where you look, the ambiance was lovely!! I felt compelled to order everything “lemon” to go with the ambiance. 🍋💛 delicious idea! Here’s a few pics of todays lunch!

Situated in the main square, Piazza Tasso, in Sorrento, dining , Sorrento, Italy makes every meal and experience extra-special - given the chance to take in the extraordinary beauty and old'world charm of this ancient Italian coastal town as you feast on one delicious plate after the next. I love this place! We had a wonderful time last night. Here's some pics of some of the beauty and deliciousness. -
