In the heart of Nerano on the Amalfi Coast, I had the most delightful dining experience at Taverna del Capitano 's new, Casa Caputo. Here they unveiled for their patrons a more casual and informal menu that tells a tale of the local food and traditions. The talented Chef Alfonso Caputo cooks up the classic family recipes, and thrills with his brilliant inspired interpretations and techniques - from fried stuffed zucchini blossoms and the Spaghetti all Nerano that the entire table commented were the best they've ever tasted to the phenomenal assortment of homemade sorbets. Heavenly experience ✨️😋🇮🇹

Still convinced the magical hands of Chef Alfonso Caputo of Taverna del Capitano makes the best "Spaghetti alla Nerano "in the entire town - even though the renditions made in other restaurants in are ridiculously good as well 😋 This pasta dish is famous for a good reason (You can find the recipe on my website)

Stopped by Ristorante O Parrucchiano Sorrento la Favorita, 1868, one of the oldest restaurants in Sorrento and a member of the prestigious “Historical Places of Italy” (Locali Storici di Italia) - for a light lunch today. Surrounded by a beautiful garden and lemon orchard, and with family treasures of historical significance typical of the Sorrento Peninsula every where you look, the ambiance was lovely!! I felt compelled to order everything “lemon” to go with the ambiance. 🍋💛 delicious idea! Here’s a few pics of todays lunch!

Situated in the main square, Piazza Tasso, in Sorrento, dining , Sorrento, Italy makes every meal and experience extra-special - given the chance to take in the extraordinary beauty and old'world charm of this ancient Italian coastal town as you feast on one delicious plate after the next. In case anyone was wondering what the quintessential Christmas Eve pasta dish is in our part of Italy's South, the Sorrento Peninsula, wonder no more! Here's my local fish market that usually has two small tables outside the shop with various locally-caught fish and seafood on display. This morning the tables were extended to showcase a sea of the sought-after clams, which will be pared with spaghetti tonight on traditional tables everywhere for the Christmas Eve feast. 🎄 🌟

When I thought I couldn't be happier, I came upon this brand-new bakery in town,run by Signora Rosa and her beloved baker son, and it sure does look and smell delicious. 🥖🥖I chose this hot,crusty, aromatic bread,laced with fresh milled fennel seeds and orange rinds to celebrate the opening. 😋

I cannot express the fun, the Barba family of Trattoria La Tagliata , offer the most festive cooking class in Positano on the Amalfi Coast. We usually visit the restaurant for the unique farm to table dining experience, all the wholesome, farm fresh food, impressively well-kept animals and cultivated lands, and the pretty views of the Amalfi Coast - but this was truly an extra special time, and so much fun. 😊🇮🇹 -

Great day with my son🥰 Visiting the ancient ruins of Pompeii, the Roman city destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD. Spectacular, enriching experience, as always!!
