Sembra di essere fuori dal mondo ed invece sono a Sorrento!

Vedere Sorrento a Gennaio è come visitare un pianeta extraterrestre. In giro c'è tanto silenzio e qualche ristrutturazione. I pochi viaggiatori e ristorantini aperti permettono di vivere la bellezza del centro storico lontano dalle f***e oceaniche dei mesi estivi. Di osservare colori, profumi e sfumature.

E che meraviglia avere il tempo di scendere fino a Marina Grande e riscaldarsi davanti ad un piatto di autentici gnocchi alla sorrentina mentre fuori piove..!

It feels like I'm out of this world and instead I'm in Sorrento!

Seeing Sorrento in January is like visiting an extraterrestrial planet. Around there is a lot of silence and some renovations. The few travelers and small restaurants that are open allow you to experience the beauty of the historic center away from the oceanic crowds of the summer months. To observe colors, scents and nuances.

And how wonderful to have time to walk down to Marina Grande and warm up over a plate of authentic gnocchi alla sorrentina while it's raining outside!

Ci è voluto un po', ma finalmente posso dire di essere tornata con il corpo ed anche con la mente (più o meno) 😂.

Mi avete incuriosita a furia di parlarmene, dicendomi che Napoli ve la ricordava un po', perciò sono scappata a New York. Per alcune cose è vero... Rumori, tante persone in giro, il clacson, venditori di ogni genere e sorta e l'incredibile caratteristica di farti sentire a tuo agio in un attimo. Fatto sta che tra musei, grattacieli infiniti e tombini fumanti, è tato come passeggiare in un film.

La verità è, però, che a New York c'è un pezzettino di cuore che non vedevo l'ora di rivedere❤️.
Grazie Matthew per essere stato mio complice, grazie Dorothy, Michael, Scott e a tutti i Gargiulo's che ci hanno fatto divertire e sentire a casa ♥️.
Ci rivediamo presto!

It took a while, but I can finally say I'm back in body and also in mind (more or less) 😂.

You intrigued me by dint of telling me about it, telling me that Naples reminded you a bit of it, so I escaped to New York. For some things it is true... Noise, lots of people around, the honking, vendors of all kinds and sorts and the incredible characteristic of making you feel at ease in no time. The fact is that among museums, endless skyscrapers and smoking manhole covers, it was like walking into a movie.

The truth is, though, that there is a little piece of my heart in New York that I couldn't wait to rivedere❤️.

Thank you Matthew for being my partner in crime, thank you Dorothy, Michael, Scott and all the Gargiulo's who made us have fun and feel at home ♥️.

Finalmente il mare, le nuvole ed il mio posto preferito!

Eh si, Napoli ad Ottobre è una vera goduria. Nonostante le giornate siano più corte, il cielo si schiarisce e si apre lontano fino a Capri. Non importa la pioggia, il sole prima o poi esce sempre ed io trovo sempre un ottima scusa per raggiungere il Castel dell'Ovo! ! ☀️

Oh yes, Naples in October is a real treat. Although the days are shorter, the sky clears up and opens out as far as Capri. No matter the rain, the sun always comes out sooner or later and I always find a good excuse to reach the Castel dell'Ovo! ! ☀️

Avrei voluto uscire stasera, ma quasi quasi resto a casa! 🤣

Non sempre a Pompei si passeggia con il sole, ma capita di cominciare e finire un tour sotto la pioggia. Come oggi! ✌️

Nonostante tutto, tra mille risate ci siamo goduti una Pompei meno affollata e dai colori vividi e luminosi, fino alla Villa dei Misteri.

I would have liked to go out tonight, but I've decided to stay at home! 🤣

You don't always walk around Pompeii in the sunshine, but it happens to start and end a tour in the rain.

Nevertheless, amidst a lot of laughter we enjoyed a less crowded Pompeii in bright, vivid colours, all the way to the Villa of the Mysteries.

Sfumature ¦ da sogno
Starei ore a guardare le mille sfumature dei colori dell'autunno!

Se poi capita di immergersi nell'atmosfera di una vineria ai piedi del vulcano, l'autunno diventa ancora più affascinante.
Non vi nego che a fine pranzo, con il sole in fronte ed un piacevole calduccio (ma non troppo!) avrei desiderato volentieri dondolarmi su un'amaca legata tra i filari di viti.

Puro sogno o semplicemente... Autunno con !🍂 🤣🍂

I would spend hours looking at the thousands of shades of autumn colours!

If you happen to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a wine cellar at the foot of the volcano, autumn becomes even more fascinating.
I don't deny that at the end of lunch, with the sun on my forehead and a pleasant warmth (but not too warm!), I would have loved to swing in a hammock tied between the rows of vines.

Ecco il mio sabato ideale... Quello passato!

Oggi ero a zonzo tra i mille colori del centro storico, tra suoni e profumi.
Resta però il ricordo di una super giornata, praticamente estiva, nei miei adorati Campi Flegrei.
Il porticciolo azzurro di Baia, i gattini in cerca di cibo dai ristoranti affacciati sul mare ed il tepore del dopo pranzo sono una dolcissima culla per i mie pensieri.

Eh si, la voglia di mare non mi lascerà mai!🌊

Here is my ideal Saturday... This past one!

Today I was wandering among the thousand colours of the old town, among sounds and scents.
But the memory remains of a super day, practically a summer day, in my beloved Campi Flegrei.
The little blue port of Baia, the kittens looking for food from the restaurants overlooking the sea, and the warmth of after lunch are a sweet cradle for my thoughts.
