Che meraviglia il Solstizio d'estate al mare!

Mentre sguazzavo felice mi sono ricordata di quando nell'Ottobre 2021 è nata “Procida Controvento“, il percorso evocativo tra musica e fotografia sull'isola più silenziosa del nostro golfo.
Non ero sola, ma in compagnia dell'obiettivo esperto ed appassionato di .
Musiche e poesie ci hanno portato attraverso i casali più caratteristici, passi letterari e suoni antichi, fin dentro le onde del mare.

Quante emozioni e quanti incontri speciali... Che dite, ci torniamo insieme?

How wonderful the Summer Solstice by the sea!

While splashing around happily, I remembered when “Procida Controvento”, the evocative journey between music and photography on the quietest island in our gulf, was born in October 2021.

I was not alone, but in the company of the expert and passionate lens of .
Music and poems took us through the most characteristic farmhouses, literary passages and ancient sounds, all the way to the waves of the sea.

So many emotions and special encounters... What do you say, shall we go back together?

So cosa state pensando...

Che sono pazza a gironzolare sotto il sole in giornate calde come questa!
Eppure persevero...

Ci sono posti di Napoli e dintorni di cui la maggior parte di noi nemmeno sa che esistano. Molti pensano che ci sia solo Pompei. Invece, alcuni siti minori per dimensione custodiscono capolavori assolutamente unici, tra oggetti e decorazioni.
Perciò, ogni tanto ci vuole Ercolano, così mi rilasso su una panchina all'ombra di un profumatissimo oleandro rosso!

There are places in and around Naples that most of us don't even know exist. Many think there is only Pompeii. Instead, some sites that are smaller in size hold absolutely unique masterpieces of objects and decorations.

So, every now and then we need Herculaneum, so I relax on a bench in the shade of a fragrant red oleander!

Strane ¦ abitudini☕
Un lunedì libero chiama sempre passeggiate, arte e caffè...

Poiché non sono proprio abituata a star senza fare nulla, mi sono catapultata fuori casa e ho cominciato a gironzolare.

Oggi l'aria è diversa, assolutamente perfetta! Dopo vani tentativi di caffè in compagnia (si, so che i comuni mortali il lunedì lavorano!), mi sono ritagliata un angolino di pace con libro e palazzi meravigliosi.
▪️Attorno a me Palazzo Firrao Ed il complesso di Sant'Antoniello a Port'Alba.

Prendo fiato prima di ricominciare domani insieme a voi... ❤️

Strange ¦ habits☕

A Monday off always calls for walks, art and coffee...

Since I'm not really used to doing nothing, I catapulted myself out of the house and started wandering around.
Today the air is different, absolutely perfect! After vain attempts at coffee with friends (yes, I know that mere mortals work on Mondays!), I have carved out a quiet corner with a book and wonderful buildings.
I'm catching my breath before starting up again tomorrow with you.... ❤️

Istanbul ¦ 🕌
Mentre continuo il mio peregrinare, penso e ripenso al mio compleanno profumato ai boccioli di rosa...

Istanbul mi ha incantata con le sue immense cupole e le moschee. Ho chiuso gli occhi mentre ascoltavo musiche e preghiere tra maioliche azzurre ed assaggiato ogni cosa commestibile nei Bazar (ovviamente! 😁)
Ricorderò sempre i colori del Bosforo, che richiamano Napoli, e la ricchezza inimmaginabile del palazzo del Sultano✨.

Istanbul è così bella ed unica da tornarci appena possibile, anche solo per sorseggiare un profumatissimo caffè turco! ☕

I'm still thinking about my rosebud-scented birthday...

Istanbul enchanted me with its immense domes and mosques. I closed my eyes as I listened to music and prayers amidst blue majolica and tasted every edible thing in the Bazaars (of course! 😁)
I will always remember the colours of the Bosphorus, reminiscent of Naples, and the unimaginable wealth of the Sultan✨'s palace.

Istanbul is so beautiful and unique that I will go back as soon as I can, if only to sip a fragrant Turkish coffee☕!

Roma ¦ in fiore🌷
È stato un fine settimana romano fuori dal tempo...

Avvolta da fiori, ho passeggiato ed osservato, ascoltato ed annusato essenze per tutta la mattinata.

Non mi aspettavo tale esplosione di natura nel rinascimento. Né ricordavo lo zampino del nostro napoletanissimo cardinale Oliviero Carafa... Una meraviglia!

Per completare il viaggio, seratina rinascimentale😂 (solo se scorrete fino alla fine, potrete capire!)

Grazie ad amici e colleghi per la serata, le risate, le pizze.
Soprattutto grazie alle amorevoli mani di una nonnina infaticabile🌷

It was a Roman weekend out of time....

Wrapped in flowers, I walked and watched, listened and smelled essences all morning.

I did not expect such an explosion of nature in the Renaissance. Nor did I remember the hand of our very Neapolitan Cardinal Oliviero Carafa.... A marvel!

To complete the trip, little Renaissance evening!

Thanks to friends and colleagues for the evening, the laughter, the pizzas.
Most of all thanks to the loving hands of a tireless grandmother🌷

Misteri ¦ e gattini
Non solo pioggia...

È cominciata come una di quelle giornatine piene di pioggia, ma ha svoltato alla grande!

Hanno appena comunicato alla stampa del ritrovamento di una super megalografia legata ai Misteri di Dioniso ed ho trascorso un'intera giornata tra meraviglie, amici e... gattini.
Lo so, può sembrare da folli, ma Pompei non smette mai di sorprendermi.

It started out as one of those rainy days, but it turned out great!

They just notified the press of the discovery of a super megalography related to the Mysteries of Dionysus and I spent a whole day among wonders, friends and... kittens.

I know, it may sound crazy, but Pompeii never ceases to surprise me.
