⚘️ The Municipal Rose Garden of Rome reopens its gates to the public for the traditional autumn bloom.

📆 Residents and tourists can admire the roses every day, from 8 AM to 5 PM, starting Thursday, October 24, and until Sunday, November 10, 2024. Entrance is free of charge.

🌷 For 18 days, it will be possible to admire the autumn bloom of modern varieties and some ancient varieties of one of the most prestigious botanical collections of roses. This is an additional opportunity to visit a garden unique in the world for its location and botanical collection, consisting of approximately 1.200 varieties of roses from around the world, spread over an area of 10.000 square meters.

🎨 Last weekend we tried for you a fantastic guided tour organized by the cultural project "Romolo e Remo": a journey to discover the art and life of Caravaggio!
👨‍🎨 Through breathtaking works housed in the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi and the Church of Sant'Agostino, we were fascinated by the mastery of this great genius and artist. Thanks to the passionate guide Tiziana, we were able to immerse ourselves in an exciting path that also touched the inns, the shops, and even the house where Caravaggio lived. A two-hour experience that gave us new perspectives on the life and works of one of the greatest painters in history.

We have tried for you the Circo Maximo Experience: a unique, fun and captivating experience through which we relived all the historical phases of one of the most significant monuments of Rome thanks to augmented and virtual reality.
With innovative interactive visualization technologies never used before in such a large outdoor area, we immersed ourselves in the life of the ancient valley, strolled through shops of ancient Rome, and witnessed a chariot race amidst cheers and overturned carts, in a continuous connection between past and present.
The experience lasts about 40 minutes, unfolds over 8 stages covering the evolution of the Circo Massimo from antiquity to modern times, and is available in 8 languages. The quality offered by the immersive visors is comparable to the best seat in the front row of a theater and is designed to be comfortably worn even with glasses. The earphones are stereophonic. The visit with the visor is accessible even to deaf people thanks to simplified subtitles in Italian or English.
In our opinion, it's an engaging experience that should not be missed!

🌳In Rome, there's a spot with a unique panorama that stretches from the Altar of the Fatherland to the Janiculum, passing by the Tiber Island and St. Peter's Basilica. It's the , a romantic green terrace of 8000 square meters on top of the . It stands on the area of the ancient fortress built between 1285 and 1287 near the church of Santa Sabina by the Savelli family, from which it gets its original name, Parco Savello.

🍊 According to tradition, it was Saint Dominic of Guzman who transplanted the first orange tree in Italy, in 1220, planting it on the , where it can still be seen today through a hole in the wall of the church porch. The legend has it that the bitter orange tree proved capable of spontaneously generating other plants.

The Non-Catholic Cemetery of Rome, also known as Protestant Cemetery or Cemetery of the Artists, is a quiet and poetic corner that often escapes the eye of the hurried tourist among the myriad historical beauties that adorn the city of Rome.

Located near the Cestius Pyramid, this place of eternal rest boasts a history that spans through the centuries. Since the 1700s, it has been the final resting place for non-Catholics, many of whom were part of the foreign artistic and intellectual elite attracted to the Eternal City.

Walking along its shaded pathways, you can find the tombs of prominent figures in the history of art and literature, including:

- the English romantic poet John Keats, whose epitaph does not mention his name but carries a poignant reflection on his misunderstood art: "Here lies One Whose name Was writ in Water";
- Percy Bysshe Shelley, whose heart, according to legend, was retrieved after his cremation on the beach of Viareggio and buried here;
- the antiquarian and poet Edward Trelawny, a friend of Shelley and Byron, who wrote touching epitaphs for his companions;
- the iconic sculptor William Story and his wife Emelyn, whose tomb is a work of art in itself: the Angel of Grief is a true masterpiece sculpted by Story in memory of his wife;
- Carlo Emilio Gadda, an Italian poet and writer among the greatest innovators of 20th-century fiction.
