Barcelona is Spain's second largest city, with a population of nearly two million people, and the capital of Catalonia. A major port on the northeastern Mediterranean coast of Spain, Barcelona has a wide variety of attractions that bring in tourists from around the globe. The many faces of Barcelona include the medieval Old Town, and the unique street grid resulting from 19th-century urban planning.
The city has long sandy beaches and green parks on the hills, pretty much side-by-side. It is also famous for a number of prominent buildings, of which the most-known are by the architect Antonio Gaudi, including his Sagrada Família, which became Barcelona's symbol to many.
Founded more than 2,000 years ago as the ancient Roman town Barcino, Barcelona is as historic as it is modern, with a constant flow of projects changing the face of the city and long-standing penchant for design and innovation.
Thanks to the wealth of attractions, a very well-developed accommodation base, a lively nightlife and a robust transportation system, Barcelona has become one of Europe's, and pretty much the world's, most popular tourist destinations.

Switzerland is known for its mountains but it also has a central plateau of rolling hills, plains, and large lakes.
Switzerland is intrinsically more culturally diverse than perhaps any other European country. It has four official languages which have historically been dominant in various regions, or cantons. German, French and Italian are spoken in the regions bordering the respective country, and Romansch - a language of Swiss origin - spoken in the mountainous area of Graubünden. ❄️
Renowned for tolerance, neutrality and direct democracy, as well as almost-legendary affluence, Switzerland has one of the highest standards of living in the world - and prices to match. Switzerland can be a glorious whirlwind trip whether you've packed your hiking boots, snowboard, or just a good book and a pair of sunglasses.🗻☀️

👉Venice (Italian: Venezia; Venetian: Venexia) is a sanctuary on a lagoon is virtually the same as it was 600 years ago, which adds to the fascinating character. Venice has decayed since its heyday and is heavily touristed (there are slightly more tourists than residents), but the romantic charm remains. It is also known as the birthplace of composers Tomaso Albinoni and Antonio Vivaldi. Venice and its lagoon are a UNESCO World Heritage site. It used to be an independent republic, and remains one of Italy's most important cities.😊 #venice #explorevenice #bookwithus #travel #i#italy
Explore the Dolomites with Travel by Luxe!🗻
Le Corbusier (Switzerland-France 1887-1965), perhaps the greatest contemporary architect, saw in the Dolomites "the most beautiful natural architecture worldwide”. This journey loops you around the Dolomites.
Drive about one hour through Val Gardena to Ortisei. Have a stroll along the charming pedestrian center. Don’t miss to visit one of the woodcarving ateliers. The woodcarving tradition in Val Gardena goes back to the beginning of the 17th century. Continue on winding roads through the valleys and over the passes to Cortina. Stop for some pictures on Passo Gardena and Passo Valparola before you’ll have a lunch break at Cortina.
After lunch drive to Passo Cimabanche to Lake Landro. The gorgeous alpine world around the turquoise lake is very popular and offers a unique view on the Cristallo Group and the Ampezzo Dolomites. Of course you won’t miss the famous "Three Peaks View” on your way to Dobbiaco.
