Years ago, I came to Italy from Canada more specifically , the city of Montreal. But under my Canadian surface, I am fortified by a long line of family from Italy. Before I was born , my parents had emigrated to Montreal from a small town of 4000 people. Beginning with my earliest experiences they instilled their Guglionesi values and traditions in me.
As a child, I knew my mother was an amazing cook. Although I wasn’t always beside her every minute in the kitchen, my memory captured so many details of her cooking and baking. From the beginning, I have recognized these memories as a special gift that I wanted to share. By 2015 , after I worked in various jobs in my new homeland, I decided it was time to do something on my own that would bring these special experiences to life in a way that others could experiences .
The name Molise Cuisine popped into my head, and it all began to come together. My roots burrow deep into this ground. Our traditions have not only held here, they still thrive. The flavours of Molise’s earth delight visitors’ taste buds; the land provides an impressive range of pristine, pastoral landscapes that produce foods primarily known and enjoyed here, within a few miles/kilometers of where they are grown.
This is what I want to share .... authentic Italy, the home of La Dolce Vita, where daily life rouninely includes a trip to a bar to order a carefully produced cappuccino and a chat with the bartender or an early evening bottle of wine shred with friends- an Italy where simple are meant to be savored every day of your life.
