Villa Miragalli-Truly Breath Taking

It is not often I use the term "breathtaking", because there is so little in life that truly takes my breath away. Villa Miragalli did just that though. Due to a delayed flight, we got in at 12 AM to the Villa, and Bruno was there to greet us. He knew we were hungry and had a meal for 11 from a local restaurant ready for us on the table. It was dark, and we couldn't see yet how spectacular the villa was. We ate, and went to bed. Early the next morning, I awoke to my kids and grandkids all saying "oh my god!" This was my second time to Villa Miragalli, so I knew what to expect, but still, as I got up and went out side, I was blown away again at how beautiful this setting is. And yes, it took my breath away again, just like the last time. You cannot ask for a better host in Bruno. He is always available to help make your stay better. The best thing about Villa Miragalli is how quiet it is. After a hectic day of shopping in Positano and the crazy traffic it has to offer, coming back to the solitude and views of Villa Miragalli was like stepping back into a dream. A good bottle of wine, antipasti, some bread on the deck next to the infinity pool, and you have little desire to go anywhere, because it just can't get any better than this villa. For foodies, the fact that Don Alfonso is just ten minutes away in St. Agata is an added bonus. A three star Michelin restaurant with 25k bottles of wine in their cellar, you cannot go wrong. Besides Don Alfonso, there are a couple good restaurants just up the road in Colli di Fontannelle within walking distance. I have to give Bruno props for running such an amazing villa, but there is also a little piece of me that wants to keep it secret, because we all know how really nice places tend to get so popular, and can't get back in. But he is such a nice man, and the villa is so spectacular, it would be like trying to hide the vacation equivalent of the statue of David from the world-so there it is folks. One tip-get up every morning for the sunrise, make your coffee, grab your camera, and go out on the deck. Get comfortable and watch mother nature put on a show you won't soon forget. The sun rising over the Amalfi coast, with all the clouds sliding down the mountain sides, the tangerine skies, the purple Mediterranean below, WOW. Oh, and don't forget to breath while your at it!
