Dopo 10 lunghi mesi, da oggi, non abbiamo nemmeno un caso di contagio tra i residenti nel nostro Comune.
Sono stati mesi lunghi e terribili, nei quali, complessivamente, abbiamo dato una gran prova di coesione, volontà e serietà.
Siamo una grande comunità e lo abbiamo dimostrato.
Adesso è tempo di continuare ad essere attenti, ma di provare a tornare alla vita ed alla normalità.

Anteprima Sagrantino 2021~ Preview Vintage 2017.

It's been a very exciting week to be in Montefalco to taste in preview the new vintage 2017 of Sagrantino. A new beginning in the best way ever 🍷✨✨
Thank you very much Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco for the kind invitation, it's been a great pleasure and honor.

🖋️ A very complex year: frost in April, dry Spring and extremely hot Summer. Definitely one of the hottest and driest years of recent decades, very challenging especially in the management of the vineyard. In general, the wines have positively shown an overall balance, despite a certain power and warmth. Wines that certainly need a refinement in bottle, but at the same time in general almost surprisingly ready.

The week has started in the very best way taking part to Anteprima Sagrantino, the annual wine event [this year moved exceptionally to June] organized by the association of producers to celebrate the new vintage just released of Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG: 2017.

Our experience started on Monday evening at Terre de La Custodia with a roaring guided wine tasting held by Luca Gardini, formerly best sommelier in the world, where we have tasted also the grape berries preserved by the winery Chef thanks to a unique method, to end at the very special tasting room where Alessandra had the opportunity to taste in preview the samples [also from the barrels] from vintage 2017. Hard work for you, of course!

Obtained from the "re-cooking" of the whey remaining from the preparation of cheese.

Delicious product whose origin in Italy is very ancient, ricotta was called "the cheese of the poor", providing for centuries the nutritional needs to the poorer: a very healthy and low-cost food.
